(we had to schlep the building materials down a valley over a tenuous log bridge over a stream, to the other side. there was a a toilet over a pit w/ a shower curtain around it, no roof. it was -10F. interesting how little exposed skin you can make due w/ when using the facilities.)

(i used to dj his indie film nights). he wanted to have the cabin done by late spring, and the forecast that weekend didn't have snow. he brought us over in his little atv. we had fun (we had plenty of beer). been back many times, and now there are five cabins on the property, now weatherized, w/ wood stoves, etc. also w/ solar panels and satellite internet (although the last time I was there I was able to get 5G from my phone, the first time there, there was no phone coverage). there is one guy and his partner that lives there year round. also, the site of the first US mass murder (white on white violence). there's an early 19th c graveyard there, and foundations from houses from said era.

Absolutely not trying to shame you, there have been improbably many songs "everybody" knows from the last five decades or more which I newly encountered shockingly recently... but I'm trying to imagine how different a stream of the culture one has to swim in in order not to have ever heard Billie Eilish singing Bad Guy. The album this one's from has a lot of songs with pretty murky production, and I didn't get super into much beside this track; but I commend her 2021 album "Happier Than Ever" to your attention if you're curious. I think her brother Finneas [O'Connell] is a really talented songwriter, and Billie E is a compelling performer.

(i used to dj his indie film nights). he wanted to have the cabin done by late spring, and the forecast that weekend didn't have snow. he brought us over in his little atv. we had fun (we had plenty of beer). been back many times, and now there are five cabins on the property, now weatherized, w/ wood stoves, etc. also w/ solar panels and satellite internet (although the last time I was there I was able to get 5G from my phone, the first time there, there was no phone coverage). there is one guy and his partner that lives there year round. also, the site of the first US mass murder (white on white violence). there's an early 19th c graveyard there, and foundations from houses from said era.

Absolutely not trying to shame you, there have been improbably many songs "everybody" knows from the last five decades or more which I newly encountered shockingly recently... but I'm trying to imagine how different a stream of the culture one has to swim in in order not to have ever heard Billie Eilish singing Bad Guy. The album this one's from has a lot of songs with pretty murky production, and I didn't get super into much beside this track; but I commend her 2021 album "Happier Than Ever" to your attention if you're curious. I think her brother Finneas [O'Connell] is a really talented songwriter, and Billie E is a compelling performer.
