A friend of mind found this "Hot Romance" album in the '90s. We burst into laughter when we first saw it. I don't even remember listening to it. That cover was so amazing, I think it just went up on his wall.

Richard Grossman was born somewhere near Northbrook, Illinois in 1952. I don't know much about his early life but he copywrote his first songs around 1974. He was an amateur musician and keen businessman with his own medical equipment leasing company, Trans Leasing International

Grossman created LeaseCard, a credit card of sorts for the leasing industry, which was widely successful. His first known album was Hot Romance in 1978, which had an accompanying 7"

Hot Romance – as described by Liam Carroll of Rebeat magazine - is a collection of songs ‘about how good Rick Grossman is at sex. How he has so many babes following him around all the time that he practically has to shake ’em off with a stick. It’s a bizarre, yet beguiling, juxtaposition: this sunny, laid-back music partnered with Grossman’s vaguely rockabilly Lothario persona. At one point, he equates casual sex with eating Kellogg’s cereal, as if that’s a thing.’
