Dean, period before closing parentheses or after?

And i suppose it does matter what's bring parenthasized -- would you please offer na example of prior-in and period out?

"Juba Dances A Jig” is an example of the style I developed playing alongside drummer Ronald Shannon Jackson that Decoding Society (and later Living Colour bandleader) guitarist Vernon Reid used to call “rhythmolodic” in distinction to Ornette Coleman’s “harmolodic”. Today, a YouTube musical analyst would probably say I’m doing is “modal with rhythmic modulations,” but they’d be missing a substantial portion of the point."

I saw a wonderful, intimate solo performance by Brandon Ross recently. Great moment when he was in the middle of a piece he wrote during the pandemic and he just stops midway through and says to the audience, “I’m sorry. I’m just not feeling this piece of music right now.” And he moved onto something else.
