Hey Krys!
Hope you have a great show! Going to be hard to leave after that opening, but I gotta go!

Mr Fab:

Krys OH!

Great to hear a different bush tetras song than the one that usually gets played. Which are classics, but I wasn’t familiar with that one.

99 Records were great! I had this Y Pants ep. Probably bought it for $.99. Have no idea how much it would be worth now, I shutter to think…

My friends and I went record shopping there sometimes when we made the journey to NYC from Westchester County. The train ride took about 50 minutes, then we rode the subway downtown.

I think I might’ve visited the shop, at least once, when my family would take our regular trips to New York to visit family. It was pretty far downtown, wasn’t it?

I'm planning my pledges but it's harder than usual this year: I usually pledge to new shows, to make them feel welcome, but there are not that many on the main stream (Jody, Matty and Cricket, in my listening hours at least). Any rec on one I should check out on Sheena or Drummer?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:29pm

Can't think if any new Sheena or Drummer shows since the fall fund raiser. Except Mr Fab on Friday.

I just submitted my list of favorite shows for the 2025 March Marathon. Hard to choose; at my pledge level, I'm allowed 12 selections max. That sounds like a lot, but it was easy to fill up. Since I'm listening now, I included Free-Form Roller Coaster. Lucky you, Krys O! :-)

My idea is to encourage new DJs who might feel insecure, so Mr Fab isn't a good fit since he runs the stream. I guess I'll add Miss Mei (not new, but newish to me) and an older fave I never pledged big to (many choices there)

Sounds late, but I guess the key word is "single". Pretty Sure Peter Gabriel used it earlier, maybe Kate Bush too
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:48pm

In case the listeners don't know, I pre-record my shows. Unfortunately I don't have a set up to do a live show. I'm up late on Friday nights putting the show together after working a long day at work. My brain is tired, yet it still manages to function on a subconscious level to create a radio show. Sleep deprivation was key to my old shows on WFMU in the 80s also.
