👋 hello BB and standers (& sitters). upon Prince’s untimely demise, saw a digital good sounding theatrical release of Purple Rain ☔️ -(must relate it didn’t grip me the way it had as a young man) - imo, most of it hasn’t held up over the decades. I wish studios would give his much odder Under the Cherry Moon a theatrical re-release. Probably doesn’t hold up that well either - yet it’s gorgeous silvery b&w cinematography is fun to look at. Also, a huge fan of that soundtrack album “Parade” (1986). Anybody know why the movie & album soundtrack have different titles? Was it because the movie tanked?

I don't disagree with you. It's arguably not great but I think thats what gives it that nutty charm. Combined with incredible performances.

Indeed - Morris Day & crew The Time etc almost steel the film. & Wendy & Lisa were always great!
- I love those 3 (or more?) Wendy & Lisa albums.

Of course, the Purple Rain soundtrack & music hasn’t diminished at all - still fabulous ‘gold experience’ thru & thru.

- a very gorgeous burgeoning star🌟to be Kristin Scott Thomas is dazzling in Under the Cherry Moon - her big debut!

Yea, 1995or1996 - ‘Not a Pretty Girl’ tour? - great energy & a stellar drummer! Loved & followed her many powerful albums thru the 90s!, then dropped off.

Mr Fab:

hey, Bob!

Don't know if you're a Lakers fan like me, but how close does "Running Point" follow the Jeannie Buss story?

(Sorry, was out to dinner with the missus and I missed the interview.)

As far as I know just the premise. It's a very deliberate comedy.

- feel the need to mention how much pleasure & awe Gene Hackman brought to the me via the acting profession. - especially the late 60s-70s! period.
- yet so much more. Gave “all-in 100%” energy to the craft no matter the material.
