Digging all this, one of cooler things Campbell’s done recently is produce Marty Stuart’s WAY OUT WEST, which plays like another kind of soundtrack to an imaginary cosmic western. Really one of my favorite records to drive around with.

90s shitty radio, before I discovered FMU, killed Tom Petty for me with the same songs a million times. Same is it did for so many other great artists. It's nice to take a break from something and revisit it in proper fashion.

Joe Castrianni:

When Rick Rubin was recording one of the
Johnny Cash records, Joe was hanging out all day hoping to record a duet. When Rick told Johnny that Joe was in a band that had reggae influences, they tried a few before
deciding on this. When Joe passed away while working on Streetcore, Rick sent them this version to fill the album out. The duet version, which is great, was eventually released on the Cash Unearthed box set. There’s also an iconic photo of Joe resting his head on Johnny’s chest.
