There were hot dog trucks in the 80s along Bloomfield Avenue in Newark that were selling their wares at all hours, and we college students at Upsala would head over for chili cheese dogs. They were AMAZING! The two popular trucks were Ed's and JJ's.

Hey, yerfriendpaul! I've been thinking about you lately, as I'm rewatching the television comedy, My Name is Earl. It's got to be my favorite television comedy of all time. Greg Garcia is an amazing TV comedy writer and director, and the casting for that show is so perfect, it should be a master course. But knowing your sense of humor, I think of you everytime I watch it... and think, "oh my gosh, yerfreindpaul would die laughing" I really think everything about it would captivate and entertain you.

I love how as your laughing at each gag, they take the gag further and make it even funnier. Each episode is quirky and weird but offers a moral lesson. And the universe of characters and locations in the fictional city Camden, where the show takes place is Simpson's-esque in how each one is developed, and continuous. Brilliant television comedy.

looks like it's on hulu, prime, and a few others! i just hit the jackpot finding the DVD 😁 no buffering, no ads, good subtitles (a small matter but those old style subtitles fit so well with the quality the show was shot on), and special features!

@Roger - A musician you might like for the show is Mr. Jeff, from Akron. His "Loud in the Library" album is a lot of fun. He used to be kind of a hard-partying local musician who cleaned up his act after the birth of his first child and transformed into writing clever children's music and doing shows in area libraries.
