Even from right down town…Flag being the country’s first dark sky city. Like the fact you could see the Milky Way from right downtown. Crazy. But then working on a farm in Mendocino took dark sky to a whole nother level. Absolutely outlandish.

Stations and programs would flit in and out giving me little snippets of america and beyond. It was such a surreal experience, kind of strangely romantic.

We also used to take little shortwave receivers on hikes and camping trips in the Gunks and Catskills Adirondacks and whatnot. To try to pick up international signals. Or alien communications. Lol

Stations and programs would flit in and out giving me little snippets of america and beyond. It was such a surreal experience, kind of strangely romantic.

We also used to take little shortwave receivers on hikes and camping trips in the Gunks and Catskills Adirondacks and whatnot. To try to pick up international signals. Or alien communications. Lol
