Musical theater from off the beaten path. Obscure and unusual show tunes from within the canon and without, flops, failures, and the newest works from up-and-coming artists—plus tried-and-true hits. Also, occasional appearances from songs that are not show tunes (but only if they go really well with show tunes).

I'm sorry to hear you're not feeling well. I hope it's not the flu; maybe just a cold. You sound pretty chipper and energetic for someone with the flu. The last time I had the flu I could hardly get out of bed.

Regionally well known fiddle player who never recorded commercially but made a bunch of recordings on home disc cutter to share with family and friends. Died 1951, most of the recordings were made post WWII.

One of the first blues / folk albums I got as a teen was by Sonny Terry / Brownie McGhee. Listened to it so many times that McGhee's voice is near a familiar to me as Johnny Cash or any of the 60s pop music I heard.
