While waiting for the 22 Fillmore at 16th and Mission (on the final grueling leg of my journey back to my hovel, I happened upon a couple of enterprising young men hanging out at the bus stop, listening to Rapper's Delight, and eventually had to sing along some of the rhymes (mumble-level, until the if your girl starts acting up, when i decided to go full volume with the answer "Then you take her friend!") They were amused. I went off about how i was SO happy to be back from Philly, and in SF/CA). The one guy shared that any time he returned here (his fam was from TX), he felt the same! I was all smiles till my MUNI chariot made it to my stop (at just after 2am).
