A viking ship appears on the horizon, a likeness of Alice Coltrane carved into its bow. Rare birds flock together to sing Francoise Hardy as soul hits. A sunset of blips and bleeps fills the air.

it's pretty dumb to base the value of currency based off of rocks in the ground, but it's also dumb to just say "$10 is worth the amount it is on paper, and it's just a gentleman's agreement"
(honestly the whole notion of currency seems a bit silly if you think about it, but it's pretty much necessary)
Zip7:
Not all rich people paid that much, but they paid significant portion of their incomes. We see major changes in taxes since 1980s – lowering tax rates on highest earners, and the tax code was changed to benefit investment, rather than wage, income. As a result, values are based on economics rather than political discourse, and equality as a matter of legal standing and participation in shared rule ends, replaced by the "moral Darwinism of “winner take all”

Call in next week and see! ;-)
As far as Trump not winning without Musk's financial support, that is speculation. But it is a curiosity to explore.
Under previous rules, corporations could still participate in politics via issue advocacy ads (en.wikipedia.org...), create PACs (but not donate from corporation funds directly), create social welfare organizations, etc.
I would like to see ballot access reform, allowing more individuals and parties to have a non-extraneous pathway to participate.
The two party duopoly is not helping the Country.
Thank you for the conversation, Marie. May you and yours have a great day!
