For the first 72 hours I considered checking myself in to Mount Sinai in Astoria, but I knew that they wouldn't give me what I really needed (powerful cough suppressant and a steroid inhaler) and would probably try to intubate me instead. I figured I'd rather die in my own bed than a hospital bed.

I figured I'd rather die in my own bed than a hospital bed.
