I recall the US govt did the same for some Plains Indians fighters they sent to prison in the late 1800s. They sent them to a prison in an unhealthy, humid, hot area in Florida. Most died. They were used to the high altitude, relatively dry grasslands and mountains of the west. I think I read this in "Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee" long ago. Is there a name for such geographic torture?

One month ago on a Thursday evening, a Crown Heights woman left her house, curious to observe the remnants of a protest outside the nearby Chabad-Lubovitch global headquarters that was hosting ultranationalist Israeli Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir.
But when a group of young, pro-Israel men and boys spotted her and mistook her for a pro-Palestine protester, her curiosity turned into a 10-minute nightmare—much of which was recorded and shared on the internet. The woman—whose name Hell Gate is not publishing to protect her safety—was followed for blocks by a mob of more than 100 men who repeatedly kicked her in the back, pushed her, threw objects at her and threatened her with rape, video shows. The ordeal only ended when the woman spotted a police car, which she ran to.
She wasn't the only person attacked that night: a Jewish woman protesting Ben-Gvir's appearance at the Chabad headquarters said she was also surrounded by Chabad members and hit with a projectile, which left her bleeding from the head and requiring four stitches. An older Orthodox man was also chased, kicked and pushed over in the street, video shows.
But a month after the incident, none of the members of the mob have been arrested, despite the highly-publicized evidence, and despite several members of the crowd being identified online.

"A report by French security services on infiltration by the Islamic Muslim Brotherhood believes the movement “controls” several municipalities in Brussels. Interior Minister Quintin (MR) sees them as “hate preachers” and wants to ban the movement in our country. For their part, Islam experts find certain passages in the report “laughable.”
France's National Defense and Security Council on Wednesday discussed a report stating that the Muslim Brotherhood, would like to infiltrate France with political Islam.
According to the report, France's “national cohesion” is threatened and the Muslim Brotherhood wants to introduce political Islam by targeting schools, mosques and local organizations. The report is also highly critical of the movement's influence in Belgium and specifically Brussels. For example, it claims that several Brussels municipalities are allegedly “under the control” of the conservative Islamist movement."
