The surface water is one thing (flash flooding), the large trees toppling over from saturated earth is another.
A 60+ foot pine tree came down two weekends ago taking all utilities with it for about 20 hours. That's just nearby. Outages from fallen trees widespread. Thousands without power. Waiting for the next one to drop.
Strawberry farmers need the sun for their crop to ripen.

i do not recall exactly when it started being used for therapeutic (human) purposes, although "special K" grew into this notorious, often dangerous, "party drug" -- also in the 90s
