Charles Mingus said jazz was a word invented to separate musicians from their money. Music for a Free World brings us together, drawing listeners to the healing power of smooth free jazz. Each week, surprise guests bring their own sides to spin and their instruments of choice to spontaneously jam.

Favoriting June 14, 2025: The GPS trio features Guillermo Gregorio on clarinet, Jeff Pearring on alto saxophone and Charley Sabatino on double bass.
Each brings their personal sound to form a distinctive blend of avant-garde, free improvisation and jazz into a coherent, accessible and creative musical experience. Pieces range from free improvisation through completely scored compositions and emphasize the unique musical interplay of the three instruments. The trio has been signed to 577 Records and their album "Directions + Destinations" was released on June 6th, 2025 (pre-order https://577records.bandcamp.com/album/directions-destinations)
