Maybe the way they are raised would be a better way to address that issue (not that I believe it's really the goal anyway) In France there's a movement to reinstate separate schools. There's an under-economy of monetizing a lot of the discarded garments donated to charity in North America, that is then alleged to be sold on for profit, in a murky relay that nets cash for people along the way, selling tons of rags by the pound. And then all of 'global north's schmatta-tsunami gets off-loaded at those destinations, while people at the source carry a warm feeling about themselves and their selfless charity. I read a white paper on this practice about 10 years ago.

There's an under-economy of monetizing a lot of the discarded garments donated to charity in North America, that is then alleged to be sold on for profit, in a murky relay that nets cash for people along the way, selling tons of rags by the pound. And then all of 'global north's schmatta-tsunami gets off-loaded at those destinations, while people at the source carry a warm feeling about themselves and their selfless charity. I read a white paper on this practice about 10 years ago.
