Join Eric in the Guest Room while he spins his usual mix of elegantly controlled chaos: ambient, soul, jazz, old film scores, psych, 70s reggae, 90s hip hop, new wave deep cuts, indie fuzz and New York scuzz. There will be synths, there will be feedback, and there will probably be New Order. Or Jackie Mittoo. Or both. All rhythm, no algorithms.

...i didn't think the general population of commenters found the conversation that interesting!
i personally had no clue. i think i watched maybe 5 minutes of 1 or 2 mannix episodes at some point in the 60s, when my mother was watching it.

...i always fantasized about modifying the '69 - fairly subtly...chop the roof ~2"; lengthen the front ~6-7"; put very slight, long fins on it (i had the car picked out but now don't remember) - and citröen rear directionals on the roof! drop the whole thing down, but not quite "low rider".
dreams.

i guess that's my best justification for junking my >400k '96 audi last november.
but really it was only about not being able to afford towing back home to work on it.
it certainly was not dying, and i'd put a lot into it recently. but i have to rationalize it somehow; so...400k.

i'd NEVER want a newer audi; but this car was great.
oh well.
(external-content.duckduckgo.com...)the guy who bought the car new saw me in town (1 owner in-between - his mechanic) and told me that that car was the poster car in this ad!

...i mean, i prefer rear-wheel drive, but front's good too. i never got stuck in snow or ice with a fwd car, even with fairly cheap all-season tires.
(i just don't want "all-wheel drive")
