Hey Bob and the gang! Super psyched for this. Tim: OMD’s “Architecture And Morality “ is a masterpiece. They had other great songs, but that album is an Alastair-Cook-in-his-easy-chair MAHSterpiece.

Hi ALL. Hi Krys. Thanks for posting that fun concert Playlist.
(was unaware of that website!). I loved Duran Duran so much as a youth (1981/'82). those 1st 2 albums were so fun (esp in "real time" upon arrival). Yet i must admit, to my rapidly growing, discerning ears, was disappointed with the next several albums, & dropped out. Mostly until their recent-ish reboot with the retro sounding album. Back in 1981, once i got wind & my ears wrapped around Japan/David Sylvian & the entire Roxy Music catalog, & ABC's 1st 2 albums, as well as Scritti Politti, i was satisfried & not missing them much & moving onto other aesthetics. Still love those first 2 Duran Duran albums & their 12" mixes etc.

I can’t believe i neglected to ask you to ask the question how they feel about being the template influencers on bands such as legendary Pet Shop Boys!? & how they relate, appreciate etc to all that. That newer song Ver-ooosh-Ka reminded me of that thought.
Anyway, thanks BB for asking my question, appreciated. & of course it’s too hard to choose amongst their “children”. Lastly, i had their 1st 4 albums & appreciated them all, yet ‘dazzle ships’ had a great textural shift & imo a leap forward in musical muscle & tone. 👏 😊

what chance in heck would you be able to interview members of bands such as: Tears for Fears, Heaven 17, ABC, Scritti Politti, Talk Talk, P-Furs, Soft Cell, Yello members, Japan members, & other retro 'new wave" originators too numerous to mention or recall?

Well I just had a pretty nice experience.
I bought 2 somewhat expensive 4 packs of beer. A friend had brought 1 over to my house the other day, and it was so good.

The wife and I cracked one open to split and it smelled and tasted like a Band-Aid. 🤢

This is the nice part, I took it back to the liquor store where I bought it, and they said:
No problem, that happens sometimes with craft beer.
Do you want to exchange it for something else?
Now I have new cold beer to go home and enjoy!
A lovely Saturday afternoon/ evening story.
And, of course, it is also nice that the store is less than a mile from my house.

Curious, about the following theatre: only know from watching TCM: Do you ever attend the following theatres? (forgive the cut & paste):
"Located on the ‘Miracle Mile’ section of Wilshire Boulevard. The David Geffen Theatre and the Ted Mann Theatre opened to the public September 30, 2021, along with the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, hosted by TCM's Jacqueline Stewart. The museum is located in the renovated Albert Carey Martin/Samuel A. Marx-designed 1939 May Co. Building (a May Department store until 1992 and a Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument) was later renamed the Saban Building, which is connected to a newly constructed glass sphere."

YES!! They are in the Academy Museum. I'm currently working on a project with them for the show. Both are beautiful theatre's but it's the David Geffen theatre that is a showpiece. My only issue is parking over there is ridiculously expensive. They need to figure that out.

DANG, i am so Envious!, we have only 2 decent theaters here via Dartmouth college. One is a "fairly large screen" & the other is more of an arthouse 230 seat medium-small screen vibe. Yet thankfulkly boith have good lumen & projection & sound maintenance. As for our 2 different commercial micro-complexes = UGH. = just awful & low quality both technically & comfort wise!
