Stevie V  Dirty Cash (Listen: Pop-up)   Favoriting
Text from Madonna's classic song, American Life, brilliantly paired with the theme music from Sanford & Son. When I was recording the lines, I clearly could not remember all of them, leading me to say, among other things, "I drive a Mini Cooper and I'm stepping on the gas." I like that part. Of course I could remember the "I'm not a Christian and I'm not a Jew" line, but even though I indeed am neither a Xtian nor a Jew, I just couldn't bring myself to say the line, as it's so stupid. The gibberish I replaced it with is actually much more intelligent. In fact, it scores a 317 on the Flesch scale, making it comparable in intellitude to the Journal of American Quanquigglemeyer. (Listen: Pop-up)

THIRD INTERLUDE
(Listen to this set: Pop-up)
Flying Lizards  Money (That's What I Want) (Listen: Pop-up)   Favoriting       I've loved this song since the first time I heard it. I think it's so brilliant to have what sounds like an Indian woman speaking the verses. And the choruses are sung funny as well.
Text from Where We Stand: Class Matters, by bell hooks. (Listen: Pop-up)
Suze Orman  The 9 Steps to Financial Freedom (Listen: Pop-up)   Favoriting       It's the Lottery Tix Squizzmix. Yeah, I just made that up.
