David K Seattle:

i get off work at 11, and, take a nap when i get home. i work at a BIG hardware store, Joes, Foes, Goes, Hose, Woes, you get the idea, but rhyms. next time you go in such a place, and some guy in worn shoes is helping you, dont think "he is some lower class guy in a red vest" but a former morgan stanley senior broker after asking for awakening...i had a guru most of the time that i was on wall street... and, asking for full realization, lost all of it excpet my heart... and, in 2002 took up chess again... god gave me the gift of being able to sleep for ten or fifteen minutes and feel totally refreshed by that, and when i get up from such a short nap, run to you music. hope that one is clear. folks dont realize how nice folks are from NJ, but, among wide periginations, find US to be some of the most alive and affably warm hearted persons in the USA. so many jew and italians rubbing together makes a complex adaptive system in social guess. yes, i am sane, but i am an eclectic and so is your show. brain fuel rules! chess is what comforts my soul, having quit drinking four years ago, and your show comforts me greatly... to be an alert mind in a society undergoing disIntegration is no laughting matter, or as the buddist say in the Dhamapada: "Long is the night to he who is awake". :)

D, your mention of the New Afternoon Show made me wonder how long that's existed over on WNYU. Wiki says: Since 1980. That's a good show even still, although FMU has more personality.

I noticed they now have archives and accuplaylists on their site too. Not as nice as FMU's though!
