Aah, hah - there you are Irene. We missed you (and the music),
  3:11pm
Irene:

Thanks Steve! My husband Peter & I were off "Newport-ing." But I really enjoyed the old WFMU clips Ken played. Hope you folks did too.

north guinea hills:

wow, this haden/forcione piece is riveting. i just need a tobacco pipe and a beer in my study, and i'd be set!

El Canuto Milet:

Calexico! Bravo!!! Mil gracias Irene.

Hugh:

Hello to you Irene and Peter,
It's so nice to hear a happy couple on the air, much like Hova & Belinda. Anyhow Newport IS a beautiful environment, never been to the festivals, but I visited many times, my sister-in-law lives in Kingston. And back in the 70's, I worked for Doris Duke, spent time at her cottage as a carpenter. What a swell summer home!
  5:55pm
Irene:

Thanks Hugh! I can't believe you've never been to either festival! Anyway next year is the folk festival's 50th anniversary-- you should definitely go.

RagnarR in SF Bay:

"The Magician" is tops! I think this is the good side of Return To Forever. Maybe I need to listen to them more. I had a copy of "Romantic Warrior" but much of it sounded a little too close to "double snap & point"/fern bar guy fusion.
  3:28am
Bill S.:

Great stuff, you two. Perfect way to wind down a stormy afternoon.
  11:18pm
Pete:

Irene, I believe you've got Kaki King's track incorrect. It should be 'So Much For So Little', not 'Open Mouth'.
