Listener comments!

  8:13pm
Tommy:

Hi Pseu. Good soundtrack for a rainy Friday night.
  8:17pm
andyw:

perfect soundtrack to my post lawn mowing, drinking a beer while watching the sun set upon the bluffs and river in the country in minnesota. thanks pseu!
  8:19pm
andyw:

wait- rick springfield? make that almost perfect soundtrack. hey, i just read an interview with him where he talked about drinking cobra blood. damn.
  8:21pm
john:

I'm sorry, beg to differ. That Rick Springfield track rawked. And rolled. Made me glad I didn't go out yet. And now probably won't til 11.
  8:23pm
Tommy:

I'm with John on this one.
  8:24pm
dagwood:

Shazzam. Terrific set Pseu. Shout out to Andy W in MN if it is former/guest WFMU DJ. If not, hey out there.
  8:25pm
andyw:

oh i loved hearing rick, i might groan a bit about it but i bet it's the song that stays in my head for days. it's already stuck there.
  8:25pm
Ike:

SPOON! This is their classic ode to an evil record company scumbag (if I remember correctly).
  8:28pm
andyw:

Thanks Dagwood, it's me- I will be hopefully doing a few shows in September too. Shazzam is a great word! & Pseu is one of my very favorite dj's...Heart! When I was in school, a common topic amongst guys was which Heart sister was the favorite.
  8:30pm
Tommy:

Heart, Journey, & Cheap Trick tour! ROCK
  8:30pm
Bones:

just tuned it... heart? heart?! wtf is going on?!
  8:32pm
john:

someone just invited me to see that tour on sunday. I have to admit i asked what time the trick were coming on to time my arrival (and departure), but I must say I dug that heart song!
  8:36pm
Tommy:

Pseu it's Lmao Laughing my a** off.
  8:39pm
roger:

he meant ( Lmao)-meant laughing my ass off
  8:43pm
mikey g.:

I had lunch with Ron Lafitte once at Bliss, the not particularly good vegan restaurant in Williamsburg. He was handed a copy of that Spoon cd during the course of the lunch.
  8:45pm
roger:

speaking of la fitte I have a word for you BIGFOOT---and i'm not talking about that thing on end of leg-----real-BIGFOOT has been discovered
  8:46pm
andyw:

ed ball, the guy behind teenage filmstars and the times (and an early member of tv personalities) is one of the nicest people in the world, if you feel like finding him he's on myspace too.
  8:48pm
john:

Couldn't agree more about Ed Ball, and one of the most talented in our little world. And the early Times records helped me re-discover 3 minute guitar pop songs in the early 80s.
  8:51pm
Tommy:

Can anyone suggest a good karaoke spot in Manhattan?
  8:55pm
john:

You're right, Pseu--harpsichord rock rules! And if anyone disses the Carpenters prepare for a beatdown. Just saying.
  8:55pm
Wendy del Formaggio:

Oh Pseu, thanks for playing The Carpenters! I love this song, as well as all their others...
  8:58pm
Wendy del Formaggio:

I'm with you, John. Carpenters Posse REPRESENT!
  8:59pm
john:

Church!
  9:10pm
mary:

The LIncoln Center website said that the Rhys Chatham outdoor show would not go on if rained... and it has been storming here in downtown NYC from 6pm until about 1/2 an hour ago. I did not go presuming it was rained out.It was thundering with lightning at 7pm. So, they are doing it???How?ARGHhhhh.
  9:12pm
pseu:

mary....lincoln? rule #1
don't believe everything i say
  9:15pm
Ike:

Didn't Bryce or Doug or somebody say that they were moving it indoors? I'm missing it in either case because I'm preparing for a hardcore hike tomorrow on Devil's Path n the Catskills. I may be insane.
  9:22pm
john:

What I said about harpsichord rock? Ditto for flute and trumpet pop.
  9:52pm
Ike:

As a Jerseyan I am TOTALLY down with renaming Brooklyn "Cat Food Tin." That's AWESOME.
  9:53pm
Joe R:

No, I never tire of hearing the name Brooklyn.
Jersey is jealous.
  9:55pm
Battle Creek, Michigan:

New code-name for Brooklyn: Gondwanaland.
  9:56pm
mike c:

Amen Pseu!
  10:06pm
mike c:

Ha! I thought I was the only one that listened to this
  10:12pm
m:

just got my big box o' swag last week, pseu, and your premium is by far the most ...perverted

<3
  10:22pm
Ithaca NY:

Ohmygod...The Perfect Disaster....I've been hunting for Evil Eye by that band for 10+ years....Unreal....
  10:26pm
Jim:

That Von Hayes track reminded me of Rick Springfield. And that means it was awesome.
  10:32pm
john:

Ditto on Perfect Disaster, got to dig up those CDs before I head out west for an extended stay. Phil Parfitt's next band, the brilliantly-titled Oedipussy, was also great.

And this sure beats another roundup of my dating misadventures! (Note I gave you a few weeks' respite).
  10:40pm
pseu:

no, it's fine -- what happens on these dates anyhow?
  10:46pm
john:

Really quite astoundingly little, but even though there are no details to speak of, and I'm too disgustingly well brought up to discuss it if there were, I'll fill you in on a different medium. This time I just feel stupid. And 3 minute pop songs make it all go away anyway.
  11:00pm
Ike:

I thought it went without saying that the Olive Garden is slimy crap. Go to Sichuan #1 in Cedar Grove instead. It's amazing. Essex County rules.
  11:02pm
Ike:

Oops I meant Chengdu 1.
