He directed the video for Joy Division's "Atmosphere". As to the Doors comment, Ian always sounded a bit like Jim Morrison, it was as much a part of his influence as glam and Velvet Underground.

I just was fishing for a week in Maine and just started wondering about that - I always thought three was bad since it's more hooks and harder to get out, but maybe it's better because it reduces the pressure? I started feeling bad for the fish I was catching...

	10:11am Hatch: The Metallica documentary (not a biopic) is a work of genius.
	10:13am freddie: but the cinematography in Control was so beautiful! anyone who can make a good black and white is alright in my book. Corbijn did a lot of popular 80s and 90s music videos- "Heart Shaped Box," along with a bunch of Echo and the Bunnymen and Depeche Mode.
	10:13am Concerned Citizen: Pamela, three hooks is called a treble hook and is banned in many areas. Rangers on the Delaware River will pull you over under the premise that they are seeing if you are fishing with treble hooks, then diverge into other forms of entrapment and you wind up with a $300 fine for possesion of controlled substances and gots no smokables for your river float. Bastards!!!
	10:14am GP: Hatch, my favorite scene is when they offered their new bass player one million dollars as a "base" salary"...he looked like he just won the lottery..which in a way he did.

	10:23am gumby: The other day they had a documentary on American Masters about Audobon. Turns out he killed thousands of birds and then stuffed and posed them to paint all those life like scenes. It also turns out I guess he was kind of kooky and a failed bussinessman.

	11:23am clem: Deranged is good - it's (just like many others) based on Ed Gein, but seems to stick to 'Ed in real life' closer than most. Real creepy.

	11:40am Patrick: pamela, i like it just fine, i do however miss the things that only NYC/NJ has to offer, like contemporary art, Chinese food, real pizza, cultural diversity, smoking in bars.... maybe not that last one. can you still smoke in a bar in NJ? the fanatical red sox and patriots fans i can do without, but other wise its a great place to live.
	11:41am clem: moved to ME three short months ago from out west. just to be closer to WFMU! Oh... what about "Don't be afraid of the dark". It's hard to find.
	11:43am Hatch: Cemetery Man and Basket Case are definitely the kinda horror films I'm into. The ultra-campy 50s and 60s stuff, not so much.
	11:44am kwhitehead: "ravenous" is a great creepy movie. It straddles the line between camp and art nicely.
	11:45am gumby: For $30 or $40 you can get 50 Sci-Fi Classics (or something like that) from your favorite on-line shop emporium and it has some wonderfully awful movies from the 30's to the 70's. This one is so cheap they put four people in a room and this folding lawn chair drives them nuts. It has a Gamara one, an Amazon Women one and about 6 Hercules ones. Me and Junior Gumby #2 will often enjoy a Friday evening of 70 minutes of wasted celluloid. Basket Case!!!!! I dig that movie.

	11:43am Hatch: Cemetery Man and Basket Case are definitely the kinda horror films I'm into. The ultra-campy 50s and 60s stuff, not so much.

	11:45am gumby: For $30 or $40 you can get 50 Sci-Fi Classics (or something like that) from your favorite on-line shop emporium and it has some wonderfully awful movies from the 30's to the 70's. This one is so cheap they put four people in a room and this folding lawn chair drives them nuts. It has a Gamara one, an Amazon Women one and about 6 Hercules ones. Me and Junior Gumby #2 will often enjoy a Friday evening of 70 minutes of wasted celluloid. Basket Case!!!!! I dig that movie.
