Hey Monica, we're listening in Jamestown. Lovely brunch music thus far!

Does this Gary McFarland track have Gabor Szabo on guitar? Sounds almost exactly like GS's version.

Jeff M:

I was walking between rooms when the transition from Glen 'n' X-Ray to the next show happened, so I didn't hear the announcement of the next show; but as I kept listening, I started saying to myself, "I'm liking this music more than I usually like that Debbie's show. In fact... I think I recognize that particular flavor of good. Could it be... could Monica be filling in?"

And then in came then Nutley Brass and I knew! Welcome.

A delicate scent of music lingering, reminders of the past. With a promise for the future, blessed be the schedule.

Jeff M:

Reading back, it occurs to me that it was in poor taste for me to be even a tiny bit disrespectful of the fine Debbie D show, even if it was in praise of your own. Chances are I'm just being slow, and as often happens, my tastes haven't yet caught up with something I'll come to treasure. Besides, my likes and dislike don't amount to a hill o' beans in this crazy town. Also, I was sleepy.

We all know that the show it's okay to hate is Kenny G's, because when you hate what he does, it just makes him smile. Or is that leer?
