cph too:

good morning, from the future. 10:22a.m. in copenhagen. glad to see the accuplaylist is finally up!
  4:43am
cph too:

use "sand core", i made a bullet once when i was a kid cause we had to make sculptures out of it at school. i used lead from wine bottles and melted it in a jar lid in the fireplace, then poured that into the sand core.
  4:44am
cph too:

i write like a kid.
  4:50am
wha?:

How is a caller in VA listening to WFMU on his way home from work?
  4:54am
cph too:

i thought the same thing...
  4:59am
wha?:

Copenhagen, what's your theory? Was the VA caller a plant?
Or does he work from home, so "on the way home" was walking back upstairs?
  5:06am
?:

maybe he has one of those internet cards...lord byron was screwing his sister, that's what he is famous for, he was straight.
  5:06am
cph too:

i think "plant" is unlikely, "liar" maybe? either that or i wasn't listening well enough and missed something. maybe the facts can be revealed through the power of the wfmu archives! oh, if only they were available real-time...
  5:11am
cph too:

some website just started playing la bamba on my 'puter, was an awesome mix with this story.
  5:14am
wha?:

Wasn't Lord Byron bisexual? But who really cares.
I don't know what "internet cards" ? is talking about. They can't have any kind of robust WAN in Staunton. Even if he managed to stream through his mobile, I'd be surprised if he could keep the data stream. Besides, who would go to the trouble (nothing personal D&S).

I think you might have it right Copenhagen, but why would someone make that up?
  5:18am
cph too:

perhaps he was trying to undermine the integrity of the show.
  5:21am
wha?:

Could be. One possible explanation is that I'm the liar in Staunton, deliberately trying to distract from the show's razor focus. I do hang out with spies, after all.
  5:28am
cph too:

whatever the identity or purpose of "listener Stauton", i'm happy to find that the razor focus has only sharpened, dangerously so. i also highly doubt the robustness of any possible WANs in Staunton, VA, and would like to put that on record.
  5:34am
catpatz:

i have a theremin
  5:35am
cph too:

they don't care.
  5:36am
cph too:

i remember when they pitched the show on 7 second delay, those were the days...
  5:39am
wha?:

Do you remember which SSD show that was? I missed it.
  5:40am
catpatz:

but i want to believe that they care
  5:44am
wha?:

catpatz, can you prove that you have a theremin? After the guy in Staunton, I'm a little skeptical of everything.
  5:44am
cph too:

don't remember the date, but it was all people calling in and pitching show ideas. google doesn't seem to know. but i know we were driving around listening to it in june, and we're usually a few months behind on the podcasts, so i'd guess march 08
  5:48am
cph too:

may 21. mr softee
  5:50am
wha?:

Well I'm glad there's something that Google doesn't know, at least. And since you found it, that makes you better than Google. Good for you!
  6:00am
cph too:

"either go for the Mr.Softee guy or the supernatural call in guy."

supernatural call in guy.
  4:01pm
..:

The term, Nosferatu, is of modern origin and derives from the Slavic "nosufur-atu" which is a derivation of the Greek "nosophoros" or "plague carrier." The understanding that rat-borne illnesses were the cause of many plagues dominated scientific thinking in recent centuries. While in earlier times many unexplained deaths fueled a developing culture of Vampirism and the concept of the "un-dead" in Europe.
