  3:56pm Cecile:

Trained ear! LOL!
You guys sound like a bunch of free jazz heads.
I kid because I love.
  3:57pm Chicago Jo:

Speaking of not hardcore, the documentary "Afro-Punk" features a bunch of people who think that they are in hardcore bands, but aren't. They're in shitty new metal hybrid bands.
  3:58pm north guinea hills:

i just had florida hardcore in the 90's, No Idea records etc... good times....

(no idea sponsored the soccer team i managed back then since half of the team was on the label....)

but, we would get a lot of nyc hardcore bands playing in my friend's living rooms, etc...
  4:00pm Cecile:

I was a New Waver in the 80s, but caught a lot of good shows at the Greystone Hall and weird little fraternal and church halls in Lower MI.
  4:00pm stingy d:

rowr rawr!!
  4:01pm DK:

What ever happened to Kraut?
  4:02pm GP:

Kep reading Diane..keep reading..these band names are insane hearing them all together like that...I LOVE IT!
  4:02pm Parq:

Just listening to Di read off these rosters takes me back to the old show announcements on Pat Duncan's show in the 80s. Not to mention seeing Reaganyouth at free outdoor shows in Th. Sq. Park.
  4:06pm IntangibleArts:

I'm a DC oldtimer, but saw some of these cats back 20+ years ago down here at Rock Against Reagan, the Hung Jury Pub, etc..... good days.
  4:09pm Cecile:

Geez, I filled in for a hardcore guy at my collidge radio station, and played this Nihilistics...
  4:10pm Cecile:

a zillion years ago.

now there was a hardcore single that began with this deep voice "Hello, this is God. F**k you!"

Anyone know the name? Can't remember the band to save my life.
  4:12pm detroitdave:

Love the List today D.........fukin bliss!!
  4:18pm north guinea hills:

  4:21pm GP:

That ISM cover is hilarious...guaranteed to piss off any and all parents within 100 miles of it and a sure ticket to counseling, Baptist Sunday school, extra Hebrew school sessions, being sent to military school, et al.
  4:22pm al:

you're taking me back....thanks! How about some Stims or better yet Kraut's Unemployed!
  4:22pm Todd 76%:

Cavity Creeps?!?!
  4:23pm Ran.D.:

Cavity Creeps?! Ouch!
  4:23pm Justin CollectorScum:

Theme is NYHC.

Suicidal Tendencies = California
YDI = Philly

Seconded on Stimulators or Kraut.
  4:24pm bishop:

thankfully, there are NO cavity creeps recordings available to the general public.
  4:24pm Carmichael:

I agree with that Suicidal Tendencies request.
  4:25pm Ran.D:

play the abused!
  4:26pm ?:

why suicidal? this is all about nyhc...
  4:26pm GP:

BaD Ronald,
Check out those drums on this Fed Up song...my headphones can't go loud enough!
  4:26pm Ran.D.:

  4:33pm Todd 76%:

I think they were related to The Mob - old NYHCs: help me out.
"Never Work" !!! One of the best CTHC trax ever
  4:34pm fishmonkeystew:

This all reminds me of my youth in the late 80's and early 90's. Northeast CT had it own little hardcore/punk scene with the bands playing at Studio 158 and the El N' Gee, etc. Man, do I miss that.
  4:35pm bishop:

hey Ran.D. - poss has a live show of cc on cassete...and,after all these years of reggae records -HE STILL CAN'T KEEP A BEAT!
  4:35pm booooooooooooooooring:

  4:36pm PLUNGIS:

boring wankers? this is america douchebag
  4:38pm Carmichael:

That was probably Johnny Rotten's younger gayer brother.
  4:39pm Ran.D.:

back to the question from before... Vinny Stgma from AF was related(cousin ) to Ralph from the Mob...
  4:40pm fishmonkeystew:

Diane, will this show be up on the archive later? I have a friend who would have a heart attack/flashback if he heard this stuff. That would be fun.
  4:40pm Sean Daily:

Nah, you can't kill Mick Jagger. They'll just bring him back as a (doing my best Lugosi) CREETCHAH OFF THE NAHT and put him on tour.
  4:40pm Ran.D.:

Poss has a cassette?
  4:41pm north guinea hills:

diane, you have some fast fingers, keeping the accuplaylist up-to-date.....
  4:42pm Cecile:

BAD BRAINssssssssssssssssssss
  4:42pm IntangibleArts:

  4:47pm tim:

Bryan Swirsky promised us some Borscht!
  4:52pm Jackie Mason:

Yeah! Bring on the Borscht!
  4:55pm Todd 76%:

The (possibly glue-influenced) graffiti I remember from outside A7 was "out of band towns, remember where you are "...still remember how Harley wouldn't let one of the NY skins start a fight w/ one of the CT boys cuz he dug Reflex From Pain's Motorhead cover (Iron Fist, natch).
  4:56pm 171:

what's the order of bands for Saturday's show ?
  4:58pm GP:

Listening to this....I'll start writing the book..these are some cool stories!
  5:01pm bishop:

171 A was 3 restaurants in the past 5 years...it's getting renovated,again,to become a sushi place...because,lord knows there aren't enough sushi places in nyc...no bistro,smarmy guy...
  5:12pm Cecile:

  5:18pm PLUNGIS:

  5:19pm north guinea hills:

  5:21pm li'l bobby:

yea, but AOD and Bedlam were no strangers to A7
  5:24pm Ran.D:

I still have an A7 Tony Tshirt shirt. with all the band logos on it and a big A7 on it
  5:25pm Todd 76%:

Just found out that 76%s bassist cut his hand and can't be there Sat. nite...we're gonna try and muster up an all-CIA set w/ original CIA bassist EJ...
We still LOVE Kraut!!!!
  5:26pm al:

  5:28pm Jonathan Marx:

  5:40pm Tom GI:

I'm feeling kind of old now -- reliving my youth listening right now. But I don't know if I'd want to go back. I remember the good times, not the smelly ones. Like sleeping on 171A's floor.
  5:40pm tim:

Street beef??? Hilarious!
  5:41pm Drew Stone:

Yo Tom Lyle are you DJ'ing on Sat?
  5:42pm Todd 76%:

  5:49pm Todd 76%:

  5:50pm dave from ks.:

from the wonderful days when their were no "RockStars"{there still arent} and the "Outhouse' in Lawrence Ks.was the only place we could go no rockstars
  5:51pm ?:

I am NOT giving you my copy of Nice and Loud, Todd!
  5:56pm bishop:
