  2:22am Jon:

I remember my dad had this "Choo Choo Boogaloo" CD he showed to everyone. That was supposed to be for children..had some Louisiana theme to it....Huzzah for embarrasing parents!
  2:25am meghan:

HA! I told my dad last night I was doing a train show and he couldn't think of one train song!
  2:27am Jon:

  2:27am Komack:

for some reason the only ones I can think of right now is Night Train and Crazy Train
  2:28am meghan:

The answer is YES to both of you...
  2:30am Jon:

Howww bouutt, Night Train To Moscow by The Toasters!? Orrr Drug Train Social D??
  2:31am Jon:

  2:31am Meghan:

well i have that one request... but no toasters....
  2:32am Chuck:

I was gonna ask if you were doing this one! Also, any rendisions of "Wreck of the Old '97"?
  2:32am Jon:

Do you take requests!? Can you add that song!?
  2:33am Jon:

Ska Ska Ska!
  2:34am Meghan:

Hey Chuck! that one will be at the end of show.... i got it! so many versions! Jon, show is totally filled so far.... and don't know if we have it.... I'll put it on the NEXT train show!
  2:36am Komack:

  2:37am Meghan:

  2:39am Jon:

First heard that song when I watched Harder They Come..awesome movie
  2:40am Meghan:

Yep... that soundtrack! Nice one Jon!
  2:41am Jon:

  2:46am Chuck:

You picked a great theme for this one, ducky. Tons of great train songs to choose from! You could do six shows whith this type of material to work with. Which version of "'97" are you doing? Loved the Tom Waits too! (Oh, and give Bosco and Jeff a pat on the head for me.)
  2:48am Meghan:

We were going to do the Skillet Lickers.... but we changed it to Charlie Louvin
  2:50am JON:

  2:53am Chuck:

Saaah-weet. Love the Louvin Bros. Though I personally think that Hank Snow did the best version. He was awesome in every respect of old time coutry music.
  2:54am mikey c:

southern pacific, neil young, from the reactor album
  2:56am Chuck:

Jeff, trains are part of American culture. It's that simple. Americans invented the machines after all!
  2:58am Jon:

Those math questions are hard man..
  2:59am mikey c:

hey it's time to break out the ol' lionels.........merry christmas
  3:00am Chuck:

So what's the square root of -1, Jon?
  3:01am megha:

Ha... go around your Xmas tree! Thanks Mikey!

Chuck- nice one... imaginary numbers... so evil
  3:01am Jon:

Uh...do I have to answer that?..
  3:03am Joe:

Sitting at the station

Waiting for my train

  3:03am Chuck:

You will NOT be tested on anything Jon! Just enjoy the show!
  3:05am Jon:

WHEW! But wait..can't a negative..not have..AH WHATEVER! GOOD TUNES!
  3:05am HotRod:

  3:06am Meghan:

Hey there Joe and HotRod!
  3:06am Jon:

Gather round the fire mate
  3:11am Jon:

What about Folsom Prison Blues??
  3:13am Meghan:

that one will go on a prison themed show....
  3:14am Jon:

  3:14am Chuck:

I think Meg and Jeff made it fairly clear that they already had a list planned out for this gig, Jon. Love this!!! When REM was still a great band.
  3:16am Jon:

Yeahh, I don't pay attention much hehe
  3:18am Chuck:

Nice! What has Matt been up to lately? Anyone know?
  3:21am Meghan:

who knows... i saw The The a long time ago.... but man he's so good....
  3:24am Jon:

Alright, I'm gonna pack in. Getting kinda late here..or early, however you wanna look at it. Have a good night all ad thanks guys for the great music.
  3:24am Meghan:

Thanks Jon! Until Later!
  3:31am Chuck:

Yes, thanks, Jon (even though I don't know you.) I'm here to harass and annoy for the duration though, Meg. Much of the usual VKR lineup didn't show today due to the weather conditions. I NEED my Friday fix of great tunes!
  3:32am Meghan:

Yeah... i guess since the students are away... it's up to the local DJ's... and Harass away!
  3:39am Chuck:

Who the FUCK are these people!!!
  3:41am Chuck:

Oh, was gonna ask if you were doing Blue Bell Knoll for your "Bell" show?
  3:42am Meghan:

Yeah i think so.... I love the Cocteau Twins....
  3:43am Chuck:

Yup, me too.
  3:55am Chuck:

Could you email me the link to your podcast again? I seem to have lost it. Also, what further possible themes are lurking in your demented mind? Could turn out to be quite interesting.
  3:56am Meghan:

Yeah... it's in the archive page too... you can look up my name. But I will totally email out a link to you
  4:15am Chuck:

Well, that only answers the first question not the second. OK, whatever. I am recording this show, just so you know. And I'm sort of fading. Don't know if I'll be conscious for the finish. Which is why I was recording it.
  4:18am Meghan:

ahhh the rockin' set isn't keeping you awake? HA! I will email you some of the upcoming ones I am playing with... I got a bunch. A book full actually
  4:23am Chuck:

OK, that's it! You just inadvertly challenged me to a duel! You will NEVER get the better of me "WHITEY"! Now I have to stay awake to hear the "'97"!
  4:25am Meghan:

Then you are staying until the end! Wow... i didn't know I had that power of challenging without a challenge!
  4:35am Chuck:

A simple sarcastic comment is sometimes enough. (Even if you didn't really mean it that way.) A "HA!" is more powerful than you think.
  4:46am Chuck:

Hank Williams! Totally cool!!!
  4:47am Meghan:

Yeah... to match the last show you did.... some oldies but GOOD country!
  4:49am Chuck:

PATSY Too! You guys are awesome!
  4:52am Chuck:

I'm so glad that I am recording this! I love G;adys also.
  5:04am andy in berlin:

you could probably do a whole show just on Orange Blossom special. I once saw Roy Acuff on tv and they asked him to do OBS and he said he couldn't because he got his teeth fixed and couldn't make the sound of the whistle anymore
  5:07am Dickdong:

Are you talking over Honkey Tonk Train Blues by Meade Lux Lewis?
It's ok 'cos I've got it on 78 and can listen anytime.
  5:07am Ken:

Hi Meghan! Sounding good! How about some Route 80 Rest Stop songs?
  5:10am Meghan:

Very interesting about Roy Acuff... poor guy! And yes Dickdong... that was. Ken- I don't know Route 80 Rest Stop songs... very intrigued now
  5:44am Colm:

i love this song havent heard it in years thanx!
  5:45am Meghan:

Ahhh no worries... nice to pull out the not so often played!
