  1/16 3:05pm Sean Daily:

DC PAAAAAAT! My show! MY SHOW! (rolling up a newspaper) BAD dc pat! Bad bad BAD dc pat! We don't do that in the house, do we! No we don't!

Anyway... First comment after dc pat's comment! ON MY SHOW, NO LESS! Woo hoo!

Oh dear, my ego is swelling to dangerous proportions. I need a beatdown from Irwin but bad right now...
  1/16 3:07pm dc pat:

sorry...I couldn't resist....
  1/16 3:10pm north guinea hills:

hoo woo???!
  1/16 3:11pm Sean Daily:

'Scool, man. Or ma'am. The comment boards are kind of genderless.

Oh, and... first comment after MY first comment and dc pat's two comments and ngh's comment! Woo hoo!
  1/16 3:35pm north guinea hills:

sean, if you have any ideas for campy mexican themed songs, send them my way. i like ribbing my gf w/ the gaucheness of mexican culture every chance i can get (she's mexican). just like she enjoys making fun of my Southern background....
  1/16 3:37pm north guinea hills:

i can't remember any of the plots of 'fantasy island', just the opening theme when my parents watched it.....
  1/16 4:40pm Sean Daily:

I'd say anything from an El Santo movie, to start. I've only seen one, and it was a long time ago. But they were done on the ultra-cheap. They've got to have some memorable music.
  1/16 4:43pm north guinea hills:

ha, i've only seen el santo via MST3K.
  1/16 4:58pm Sean Daily:

Funny, NGH. So have I.
  1/17 6:07pm Jessica:

This rocks so hard. Can't wait to jack the archive!
  1/17 9:51pm Bim Scanlon:

I think that the correlation between the various Celtic musical forms all meld into one (or is it four) via the Vince Mack Mahon pedigree which is not to say that the work of Synge - as in Edmund John Millington Synge - whose chair I once sat in on Inish Meain in the Aran Islands whilst wearing, not an Aran sweater, but a Run DMC hoodie.......is not to be recuperated via lost lottery tickets in the south of Spain....ya smelll me? Or are me thoughts way over yer head or under the radar? Or DJ Radar? Or is it that Yay Area band UDI - Unda Da Influence? Or the Third Policeman? Where's me bike? Where's me jumper? Do you know Bono? What's he like? Scuse me while I kiss the Sky network television set as me lips get stuck to da set......set trippin' body dippin' - Don't be trippin'
  1/21 5:13am Maria Daily (Sean's auntie):

thank you for the love for Sean. He is the best nephew I have. And a funny story: I used to always babysit him when his mom sold Mary Kay products after his dad, an astronaut, was lost in space. But anyways we used to play a game - the WOO HOO game we called it. Evertytime I walked into the room and he was in his playpen he would laughingly holler out WOO HOO. Come think of it I think that was the first comment he ever made as a toddler
  10:45am Billy Jam:

shout out to Shane and Cheebah and all that - Limerick Ireland + Galway's Vince Mack Mahon turtnable quartet who are featured later on this show + to D oo Bs of the Johnny solo crew......AND a superduper shout out to Sean Daily -our most dedicated first commenter on WFMU....go to any show playlist by any DJ and you are likely to see Sean "First Comment" Daily make the first or almost first comment. Shout out to Sean's auntie Mairia for sending in the above comment. Doesn't it remind you of the bit from that Jay Z song December 4th? Hmmm,,,,,me too......me two.....me two turntables and a microphone......

  3:37pm Pat Kenny:

Hey guys, Pat Kenny here. You might know me as the host of the Late Late Show here in Ireland, and also a sex symbol to middle-aged women all over the country. Mostly elderly women though. Keep up the great work, Billy - I love all the beats. Shout out to Larry Gogan, Gay Byrne, Gerry Ryan and all the other true djs in Ireland. CUT IT UP FFFRESH!

  3:50pm Cecile:

billy jam, will you give me my show for a mouse pledge? ;D
  3:50pm Sean Daily:

I can't take credit for the show, djspiderman. I'm still stuck at work here in Las Vegas. That's Billy Jam spinning the platters all the way.
  3:53pm Pat Kenny:

The Delorean comes with a rearview mirror so you can check if you're being tailed by Biff, and it also includes a pair of moonboots. It energy-conservative, running on the dreams of young children and the tears of a clown.
True fact - the Delorean was built in N. Ireland by a company called DMC!
  3:56pm Tall Paul:

Yo Bill, talking of puppets don't forget Ireland's favourite from the old days Wanderly Wagon and Bosco hope you don't have to many nightmares
  3:56pm Ismael:

Bill E. Jam spinning the platters?! what next, playing the water glasses?!

@Pat Kenny: the company is "run" [by] DMC?!
  3:56pm djspiderman:

hey Sean its your moment of fame dood , suck it up n ave it yum styley, take all the credit , Billy wont mind, pity you is working -this show sounds so good loud n bassy fru the system --ahhhhhh friday ,,, yeeehawww go Seany go seany --i mean go Billy go Billy
  4:00pm Hooty Sapperticker:

  4:02pm Cecile:

  4:04pm tom waits:

i dont remember this...
  4:05pm Sean Daily:

Hip hop AND Tom Waits... can't go wrong there.
  4:05pm Cecile:

oh, jeeez.
  4:07pm Cecile:

this is a Hal Wilner pairing from hell.
  4:07pm Kool Keith:

Tom, I spiked your drink. We drank a little Dr Pepper, chewed some tobacco and then recorded the sounds of us screaming at the full moon. It was groovy.
  4:08pm Parq:

This is okay, I guess, but compared to DJ $mall ¢hange covering "Step Right Up," well . . .
  4:09pm Hooty Sapperticker:

LUNCH is class and CLASS is lunch.
  4:12pm Tristram in Brooklyn:

Billy spank rock's gotta be hard on the 7 second delay....
  4:17pm Dust One:

Billy, too bad you didn't stay a few more days, it's 54 degrees right now... :) Glad you had a good time in DC!
  4:19pm Tom Waits:

is this still me?
  4:20pm zedprophfer:

  4:20pm Timi Dz nutz:

...its 420 somwhere!!!!!
  4:22pm Sean Daily:

Yes, it's MARIHUANA. The SCOURGE OF A LOST GENERATION, driving young men to MURDER and young girls to A FATE WORSE THAN DEATH.
  4:22pm ?:

Do you have a copy of the Monty Python "coughing contest"?
  4:24pm Sean Daily:

Myka 9 is tight.
  4:27pm HotRod:

I want more!
  4:34pm Parq:

I've just come across a writing that uses, as a verb, "incentivise" - that it, to "incentivise" something is to cause that thing to operate as an incentive. Trade you problems!
  4:34pm Shane:

Big up Johnny Doobs !
Repping County Clare like no one else since Muhammad Ali
  4:35pm Tristram in Brooklyn:

More John cage remixes...
  4:36pm Sean Daily:

What kind of writing do you do, Parq? It sounds dreadful.

Have you ever thought of playing Buzzword Bingo with your coworkers to cope?
  4:38pm Parq:

Big ups to County Clare, the original home of continuous jams.
  4:39pm north guinea hills:

john cage records mix easily w/ anything..... for the obvious reasons....
  4:39pm GP:

Parq..that sounds like it was written by our former president Bush...."Ah..we are gonna incentivise the coalition of evil not to make an investiture in nuklar weaponification"
  4:40pm Tristram in Brooklyn:

Marvelous Noise......
  4:40pm north guinea hills:

this reminds me of those old phonomena nights that toshio kakiwara and dj olive used to do at tonic...
  4:43pm Dust One:

Is this a live set?
  4:43pm Tristram in Brooklyn:

Is there a Tonic alternative these days?
  4:45pm Sean Daily:

NYAAAGH! You said the B word, GP! Don't you know that "Bush" is a four-letter word? Do you kiss your mother with that mouth!

Try saying this instead "FORMER President Bush". Emphasis on the "former". Much better, right?
  4:53pm KBD:

Good sounds from the west of Ireland!

@ Dust One: I think so, yes.
  4:54pm Dust One:

Yes definitely a great set. Does anyone know if they are using the Controller one?
  4:54pm north guinea hills:

unfortunately, there is no tonic alternative. tonic was sort of the meeting point of all adventurous genres. you could show up not knowing what was playing, but stood a good chance of witnessing something special. now that it's closed, all of the scenes have splintered across town. so, there's no permanent place to find that cross-cultural pollination.

so, you basically have to have your earballs peeled to find any great happenings here and there. luckily, wfmu does a good job of letting the peeps know about the happenings around.

i'll be doing a multiple turntable doohickey at the free103point9.org studios next tuesday w/ dj rhizome, should be vermilion fun....
  4:56pm Tristram in Brooklyn:

Cheers NGH, seems like there's a gap in the system, "only in New York"!!!
  4:57pm itchi:

Nice show guys
Found a wifi spot in my new house today lol
Woop woop
  4:58pm Dust One:

Free is always good
  4:59pm Joe Dolan:

i can confirm there was not a controller one in the spot.... 4 vestax tables, 4 rane ttm56, serato and oriinal records, 4 loopstations, many pots of tea and.....
  5:02pm Daragh in Cork:

Hi America,
Good voting and all. Check this -
Its some footage of The Vince playing a paganistic festival in Ireland.
  5:02pm Ismael:

found a dog in my new house today, lol, and am calling him Wi-fi Spot.
  5:04pm north guinea hills:

glad to see others using the vestax pdx-2000's, people always looked at me strange for not using 1200's
  5:05pm Tristram in Brooklyn:

I have both the compture and the radio on at the same time, creating a wonderous delay.....echoing thoughout my apartment.
  5:05pm Ismael:

are you sure that's the only reason they looked at you strange, NGH?
  5:06pm Tristram in Brooklyn:

...and my "adding" is getting better......
  5:06pm Dust One:

Wow, this is even a better set knowing the conroller one was not used, but it sounded like it was. I like it! :)
  5:06pm joe dolan:

the newer models of the pdx tend to slur...beware...
  5:07pm Dust ONe:

It's not what you use to rock the house, it's how you use it. The right DJ can rock out on a fisher price toy tuentable if he needed to!
  5:09pm Tristram in Brooklyn:

"WFMU's listener comments", my online Math tutor......
  5:09pm joe dolan:

i prefer real singin meself
  5:09pm north guinea hills:

i've dropped my pdx's down the stairs, they been crushed by other equipment, and i've had them now for 8 years, and they are still bloody accurate....

i've seen my friend's 1200 fall off his flight case and it 'jiggle' ever since....
  5:11pm Tristram in Brooklyn:

Nice sunset out there right now...
  5:15pm north guinea hills:

tell me about it Tristam, although I have to turn around in my chair to enjoy it...
  5:15pm Dust One:

Great show, much respect to the Barna Sessions. I need to get on the metro and get home, too bad I can't get the WFMU reception here in Washington, DC...
  5:21pm negativeG:

is that DJ Tweek or DJtwink?
  5:23pm itchi:

This is a tune. . .
Great show lads.
  5:25pm samoa joe:

Links to all music and videos from all the relevant peeps below.

  9:58pm DJ Hells Yeah:

I looked up Havok's "The Kush" and thats not the music you were talking over on the show. Unless its a b-side. I would really like to have that track for the crates. Let me know if I'm wrong.
  12:26am BW:

Billy Jam - I never thought I would see it in my life either - Kool Keith and Tom Hanks - together - heh - I just misheard you - rewinded it - but still gonna comment. DC was great wasn't it.
9:54am Pat "d OO bs" Kenny:
