Listener comments!

  3:04pm stingy d:

rah rah rah rah rah rah rah rah rah rah rah rah rah rah rah rah rah
  3:07pm MikeG:

What was your theme somg?
  3:08pm jc Mike:

Big Bang: 1 of the greatest songs ever from 1 of the greatest records ever by one of the greatest bands ever.
  3:10pm bobo:

greetings from London today. dvd shoot with kings x...how about some negative approach?
  3:13pm Sean Daily:

First comment after those other four comments! Woo hoo!
  3:29pm GP:

Nice start to the show Diane!
  3:30pm good god:

that was incredible.
  3:32pm Bobo:

thanks for NADJA
  3:33pm Cecile:

agh, I missed everytning up to Zorro.

Got any Exodus with ya, Diane?
  3:34pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Seuss is cool. I remember a couple of those.
  3:36pm fishmonkeystew:

First comment in my own mind! Raaaaaah!
  3:37pm Cecile:

what was the question? My WMP fried out
  3:37pm hah!:

34590.6 POUNDS.
  3:37pm Glenn L:

Horton hears the Who was always one of my favorites.
Specially the early stuff.
  3:38pm fishmonkeystew:

34 663.2815 pounds
  3:38pm Cecile:

  3:38pm Torbjørn:

Google says 34685.3277 pounds ..
  3:39pm Cecile:

LOL! What Who did Horton hear?
"A quick one" or "Quadrophenia"?
  3:39pm fishmonkeystew:

Has google failed me?
  3:40pm jc Mike:

34632.159 Lbs
  3:40pm fishmonkeystew:

Mouse heaven!
  3:40pm GP:

Some of DJ Jazzy Jeff's new stuff sounds pretty good,

and BTW that is 17.2953 tons of cheese!!

  3:40pm Cecile:

A kilo is over 2 lbs.
I could use about 2 kilos of that cheese right now.
  3:41pm Cecile:

GP, DJ Jazzy Jeff is suprisingly great w/o his buddy, and his buddy is likeable enough, I guess.
  3:44pm Glenn L:

The early stuff, Cecile. The mid 70's multiple personality stuff is a bit too heavy for Horton. Although filling in the Who by Numbers cover is always great fun.
  3:44pm GP:

Yeah he is Cecile. They are re-running The Fresh Price of Bel-Air on NIck at Nite. DJ Jazzy Jeff was included in some of the episodes.
  3:45pm GP:

Price = Prince ...don't want anyone to think Vincent was involved!
  3:46pm Cecile:

I think I'm in the same boat as Horton. LOL!
  3:46pm Jason:

Awesome Crispin Glover clowny clown song!
  3:46pm GP:

Crispin Glover!..awesome..I have never heard this.
  3:49pm Cecile:

Mr. Far used to be a pretty good quarterback for Green Bay until he wasn't.

Oh...I mean Favre....
  3:56pm Cecile:

arrrrrrrrrrrgh Bloodbath! when Opeth and Katatonia come together, only good things can happen...
  4:00pm GP:

He he...I'd like to hear this Bloodbath run through that new Microsoft Songsmith app...just the thought of the novelty whistle sound in there cracks me up.
  4:01pm Cecile:

Wait, that slide whistle sound actually was from Running From the Devil, GP.
It's in there, you have to listen closely.
  4:02pm Glenn L:

Cecile's right, GP.
  4:03pm Luna:

damn, I missed the Bloodbath song...
  4:03pm Cecile:

that's why Van Halen f''ing RULE.
  4:04pm Cecile:

I mean RULES
  4:05pm GP:

I know...But the way Songsmith picks up on it, and highlights it...it has become my new favorite sample.
  4:06pm Cecile:

It is pretty great, isn't it?
Now is this Songsmith a free program?
  4:06pm Glenn L:

Cecile's right again. Nothing says METAL like a novelty whistle. However it's definitely not a Slide whistle.
  4:07pm Cecile:

No, I can't remember the name, but it has a circular, spinning plate in it... we used to have one.
  4:08pm Cecile:

I mean, no, it's not a slide whistle. it's a short, metal whistle that sounds like a fire siren kinda.
  4:09pm Glenn L:

Exactly Cecile. Once again you nailed it.
  4:11pm GP:

Yeah, I don't know what those are called either..we also had one.
I think Songsmith comes with the new Microsoft Vista operating suystem. I don't know if other version of Windows can run it.
  4:12pm Cecile:

Oh, I have a Mac.
So, ok.

oh, yeah!
  4:15pm GP:

I think it will also run on the Mac...the demo on You tube for it shows the girl using a Mac.
  4:16pm Cecile:

But I would have to buy Mojave, I mean Vista, right?
  4:19pm GP:

It looks like it will work on anything..you just need to be able to run Windows stuff on your Mac:
  4:24pm Sean Daily:

The hump of the wump that belongs to Gump sez, "Laaahf is lahk a bahx ah choc'lits..."
  4:30pm Megan:

Thank you Diane! I can never find this one at the thrift stores! Maybe I can just play the archive of your reading of 1 fish 2 fish red fish blue fish to the baby now! Swish Swish! I wish for fish!
  4:39pm JC Mike:

My unborn child in my wife's 9 month pregnant womb just heard his/her 1st Dr. S. As a loyal listener it will not be the last. Ironically 1 fish... is one of the few we have around the house.

Now you should play some Flipper to round things out!
  4:44pm Ken From Hyde Park:

As a kid, I called the book "One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish Mud Fish." Trying to be a wise guy from little on. Hoo boy.
  4:51pm Cecile:

  4:51pm stingy d:

  5:01pm stingy d:

  5:01pm stingy d:

  5:13pm stingy d:

  5:33pm Lou:

  5:45pm GP:
