  1:15pm Jessica:

Oh, Billy Jam: you sure know how to make a girl feel filthy, in all the bestest ways.
My little ears can hardly believe their great fortune: a special Ed Shepp "Love?" blip?!? That's got me feeling cool enough! To listen to Pseu Braun (who always brings it so mightily, we hope she's off somewhere sipping mai tais), and will surely have my muddy timbers shivering all through the night til the Cherry Blossom Clinic opens up. Heck, this show may have me floating all the way to Transpacific Sound Paradise. Good thing I Kamikaze'd in preparation, and, ah, Gave the Drummer Some.
[more waxing puntastic once I've had my morning coffee. and maybe also a beat.]
  3:01pm Sean Daily:

Have no fear! It's another beer!

Oh, and... Fifth comment! Woo hoo!
  3:01pm Jessica:

Feeling muddy like a dusty funky three-chord surface sinner...
  3:02pm Jessica:

It's like someone picked out a Thermos™ for me.
  3:03pm Sean Daily:

Oh, yes, you're a DIRTY girl, ain'tcha, Jessica? You're a DIRTY girl.
  3:04pm Jessica:

an exciting thrift-shop Thermos™, for me.

Dirtier by the Daily!
  3:06pm Jessica:

(It rubs the cheap hotrod into its antique berg turner #1 weenie theory.)
  3:07pm Sean Daily:

You know, has anyone noticed that the day before Valentine's Day is Friday the 13th? And am I the only person worried about that?
  3:08pm Jessica:

Who put Half Japanese xtian death in my tragic mulatto?
  3:11pm Harvey:

Sounds like Slint

Put The Needle On the Record in Limerick....Represent Represent!

Dang son, I gotta move house - packing up records and whatnot makes a man's brain melt. I had one great quote earlier on while viewing some houses. One landlord showed me this double room, and I was like "Nah, too small. I need more space". He says, "Oh, you have a girlfriend". I was like, "Yes, but I want the space for records. She has her own house!".

Play some music to pack boxes, Billy! (Top show as alllways)
  4:03pm anne:

smokin maryjane while listenin to music together

maybe not the key factor but something we both enjoy a lot
  4:06pm Dust One:

Whats up Bill jam, sorry I am late!
  4:07pm Cecile:

Reno 911! had a great bit about driving drunk:
"You can do it, but you have to do it right!"
  4:08pm Sean Daily:

In a world where we don't have the guy who does "In a world" in movie trailers anymore...
  4:12pm SeanG:

Sean Daily is a fuckin legend!
  4:13pm Hooty Sapperticker:

A trip to the moon on gossamer wings....
  4:15pm Ismael:

  4:17pm Jessica:

Feeling this, I am.
  4:18pm Hooty Sapperticker:

'Sup yourself, Maelo!!
P.S. Please be my valentine.
  4:19pm Ismael:

Hooty, your Valentine be me, says I!
  4:22pm Hooty Sapperticker:

  4:28pm SeanG:

Henry Miller's middle name? Valentine
  4:30pm HotRod:

Mr. Loverman!!!!
  4:31pm Cecile:

Anything sung to the tune of Seasons in the Sun is instantly anti-sexy.
like aural saltpetre.
  4:33pm Parq:

Cecile, that's a Jaques Brel melody - how could someboby toasting to a Jaques Brel melody not be cool?
  4:34pm jimmy penguin:

woooord billy, hope your keepin well...
  4:35pm Cecile:

because Terry Jacks ruined it for humanity in my childhood.
  4:37pm mr h:

Is it just me or do all these age songs sound the same?
  4:38pm north guinea hills:

look at the year of the release

only greensleeves recs would do something so wonky....
  4:42pm zedprophfer:

now play "a third of my age"
  4:44pm north guinea hills:

i was going to suggest billy play " the natural logarithm of my age", but that will do to.....
  4:46pm zedprophfer:

"fifteen times my age"!!!

  4:50pm Parq:

It's the future - people go into restaurants and order "leg of Sam". Or perhaps "Stu stew".

  5:10pm Cecile:

is Chali 2na the dude from Jurassic 5?
  5:11pm BilllyJam:

Yes he is Cecile......Question for you. How many hours do you listen to WFMU a week ?
  5:12pm Cecile:

When I'm at work, it's on all the time.
I need it to maintain productivity.
  5:15pm Cecile:

why do you ask?
  5:22pm zedprophfer:

i love your RRR 500 sessions, billy :)
  5:23pm BillyJam:

coz I see you on the comments all the time....I listen most of the time too....depending on where I am...BUt it is a real credit to WFMU that U can listen all week and maybe never hear a piece of music repeated.....
  5:25pm Bad Ronald:

Gotta agree w/ZedP. Love the locks too!

Dat true Billz...
  5:26pm Cecile:

It is very true!!!!!
If you hear a song twice, it's unusual.

I did freeform in college, and it completely wrecked me for "normal" radio. WFMU is like food to me.
  5:26pm C:

except for FMU's Better Beatles period, Billy
  5:27pm Cecile:

Oh, I love Hoagy Carmichael.
Is this what the Cab Calloway "Kicking the Gong Around" song is based on?
  5:29pm Marshall Stacks:

Cecile, that's from Minnie the Moocher, isn't it? I always thought "kick the gong around" was slang for smoking opium.
  5:34pm Cecile:

You're right.
I also get it mixed up with the "ballad of smokey joe" which Phil ALvin covered on that one LP...
  5:37pm anhelo:

I am loving your show so bad
  5:42pm foxy brown:

great pre - valentine's day show billyjam! i love the eclectic mix of music.
  5:42pm Parq:

Every once in a while, a frequent listener will hear something multiple times, but when it does happen, it's usually something really good, like that song where the girls shrieks that she never knew someone like you.

Aiiighhh! Please, mercy. Just from that one snippet of "Just the Way You Are", I'm going to have it stuck in my head for an hour.
  5:45pm C:

This music is getting me in the holiday spirit! Will you be my valentine, Billy?
  5:49pm foxy brown:

this music takes me back to the 80's. can anyone say high school?!
  5:51pm Parq:

Ed Shepp is Love.
  5:54pm Joe:

80's? Can anyone say "fetus?"
  5:55pm Marshall Stacks:

Jane Birkin is Love.
  9:28pm Jessica:

Foetus is Wiseblood is Thirlwell is Love.
(Hi, Joe! )
(I just said that in Spanish, in my head, and cracked myself up. Yessss sir, it's gonna be a looong weekend. Gracias, y buenos noches.)
  1:46pm Googlin'SuperBabyFinger:
