Listener comments!

  9:25am Bäd R☺nald:

Hey, where is everybody?
  12:26pm Billy Jam:

What up Bad Ronald. What up Jersey. Thanks to everyone who supported WFMU during the Marathon. Really appreciate your financial support of this 100% listener supported station....>>Meanwhile this show is dedicated to the NJ resident George Chase who passed this week and whose funeral service is tomorrow. You probably don't know him but he was the father of a dedicated longtime WFMU listener LS Monkey who wrote me a couple of days ago to say of her father, " I wanted to ask a favor if you could dedicate a song to him? His name is George Chase and he was also an artist, teacher, sailor, great cook and great dad. He taught film and annimation at Columbia High School in Maplewood NJ. My little sister Abby sent up a website for him
He loved to share stories and this is a place to share stories about him."
At some stage in our lives we all lose someone we love, oft times a parent, and no matter how prepared we think we will be for this inevitable moment it is always heart-wrenchingly difficult. But ultimately the whole sad experience (which heals with time) only makes us stronger individuals, and more appreciative of life and those we love who are still with us. Rest in Peace George Chase.
  12:37pm Bäd R☺nald:

Beautiful Billy, amen!

btw - I totally dug the broadcast you did with Clay Pigeon a couple of weeks back.
  12:53pm John Scaily:

First comment after all of those pretenders PRETENDERS I SAY! Woo hoo!
  3:02pm KP:

  3:04pm Parq:

Sail on, George. By an unfortunate coincidence, a dear friend of mine also just lost her dad, after a long, hard road. My friend doesn't dig this kind of music, but I hope vibes from this show are going out to her all the same.
  3:14pm Cecile:

Hola, bill.e.jam!

Yay, azeem!

RIP George, there is a special, extra-nice place in the hereafter for cool dads such as yourself.
  3:17pm Bäd R☺nald:

I'm tippin' a 40 for the late and raisin it back up to FMU, it's listeners and especially you - William Preserves!

  3:36pm Cecile:

  3:37pm Sean Daily:

But I wonder if I'm a human dartboard.
  3:38pm Cecile:

In life, you are either the dart or the dartboard.
  3:38pm Parq:

That parody of the finish from "Things Get A LIttle Easier" was even better than the King Cole riff.
  3:53pm postmanpaul:

hey ho billy jam!
touched by the obituary of that fine gentleman.
diggin' ya discs.
  4:02pm Cecile:

marr-a-thon. yes!
  4:03pm Cecile:

  4:03pm Tall Paul:

  4:06pm Cecile:

  4:40pm d OO bs:

wOrd 'em up, folks. First Friday in a long while where I'm not gigging so I get to hear this live rather than archived. I shouldn't have worn shorts today, the cold breeze on the looong cycle home was chilling the jewels a bit too much.
Missed the B+ interview - damn, now I gotta hit the archives again.
  4:40pm Ike:

"Push It' -- much better at high speed! (That's what she said!) Hooray for 33s at 45. Or 45s at 78 maybe.
  4:41pm stingy d:

i feel like that was 45 at 78
  4:42pm HotRod:

Alright! I'm done with my meetings! It's Jam time!
  4:46pm Joe:

  4:48pm Carmichael:

I pledged so much I cried.
  4:50pm stingy d:

i didn't cry, but i definitely tugged my collar and wiped my forehead.
  4:50pm Cecile:

I pledged so much I cried at you crying
  4:53pm Carmichael:

Stingy got co-credit because he has a fly rap-style name. Billy Jam and Cecile just doesn't have the same ring to it.
  4:53pm C:

I thought he had Big Blood as his backing band on this at first
  4:53pm north guinea hills:

i pledged so much my gf will make me cry if she get's a hold of my banks statement....
  4:54pm stingy d:

you should hear my fly rap songs carmichael
  4:54pm Cecile:

What about C-Seal?
  4:55pm Carmichael:

Zaire is a kickin' rap name!
  4:55pm Cecile:

that Sonny and Cher fly rap was good.
  4:56pm Joe:

  4:57pm Carmichael:

Now that rolls, 'Cile! A partner of mine's initials are DP, so he used the rap name Deep E. Same deelio, Emilio.
  4:57pm Sean Daily:

We liiiiiiiiiike Tim Exile.
  4:59pm Carmichael:

BTW, I'm hopelessly caucasian. I get all my rap terminology from the meth cooker kid on Breaking Bad.
  4:59pm Cecile:

Electrifying Mojo:
"When you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on, baby!"
  5:00pm north guinea hills:

sweet radio dial static whirlishes...
  5:01pm Car:

  5:01pm Jessica:

What a beautiful day, in this neighborhood.
These beats are massaging my [how does this keep happening] broken vertebrae so sweetly. One hour left to stitch up the spooky leather sacrolumbar dungeonwear.. . might need to hit the archives to get it done. Yaaay, archives. Yay, all those Sunday night mousies, squeaking out that Billy was the only Jam worth Flippering for... ok, that failed. But srsly: your Life was Magnificent.
  5:02pm stingy d:

nah i don't like them cars man... i'm saying what can we the lords do with a car like yours?
  5:03pm Jessica:

  5:14pm Glenn L:

  5:19pm stingy d:

  5:24pm Carmichael:

I have an illegal smile.
  5:30pm Parq:

Careful, Carm, The Man is probably still lurking on this -- this -- hey guys, what do you call what we're posting to? This board? This blog? Neither is really accurate, but what *do* you call it?
  5:33pm Glenn L:

  5:34pm stingy d:

  5:34pm stingy d:

  5:35pm Joe:

They should've put the playlist comments up for adoption.
  5:35pm Malcolm:

  5:40pm Cecile:

  5:53pm Joe:

See, what happened was, Mama Jam showed up. And she was tripping face, you see.
  5:53pm Billy Jam:
