This is a pretty wonderful song right here. And puts my shower singing to shame.
  3:09pm
John McCabe in LA:

"Rodd Keith - Do The Pig" don't forget "do the pig" it's the pig you really dig
  3:11pm
Pearly Sweets:

Where would one go about getting a copy of "chaos"? I did a quick google to see if I could find it on the blog with no luck.
  3:11pm
dc pat:

yeah, that Amanda is something..
  3:14pm
Snoop Monkey Monk:

"With my hands on my monkey ..."
  3:16pm
steveroo:

hey irwin will you play the movie loop song
that instrumental you extended that plays in some ny or jy theater
  3:18pm
Cecile:

Irwin, just tell me what kind of comments you want:
sychophantic,
provocative
informative
irrelevant
nonsensical

and I will try to comment according to your parameters.
  3:20pm
Cecile:

Aw, hell.

steveroo:

my dad was whistling the original song to baby elephant walk with out the bass and other samples one morning. i went to the fridge to drink my cold gatorade to start off my morning. chugged the juice quickly and next thing i know i'm dizzy and faint than fall down and pass out. i was told later that my body was too hot and threw my equilibrium off.
  3:21pm
steveroo:

anyways once i came to the real world i kept having the song over and over in my head when i was coming to
  3:24pm
AnAnonymousParty:

Kenny could sing along with SSD. And probably would.
  3:26pm
Brucie:

Irwin, in the pause before you say "Amanda" I hear the sound of my own overactive nose hair growing. I think it's growing up into my brain though. In the next pause before you say "Amanda" could you please tell me where to find Chaos if it's not in my own nose?
  3:26pm
Irwin:

Supplicative, Cecile baby.
  3:27pm
Cecile:

I hear and obey, almighty one.
  3:29pm
BSI:

Alright... just got back from a third-eye dilation with the plague ferrets. What did I miss?
  3:31pm
Hollywood Starlet:

Show us the way to the next salad bar.
  3:31pm
Cecile:

what about your pineal gland, BSI?
  3:32pm
Parq:

Whoa, Dave Van R did a Brecht album? Cool. Always loved his voice and his approach to American songs; neat to hear him turning the same astute eye on German music.
  3:33pm
Cecile:

I really like this too, Parq.

How good of Irwin to bless us with this.
  3:34pm
annie:

lurking...listening
  3:35pm
BSI:

Cecile: Pineal Gland = Third Eye, depending on how dilated it is. If the ferrets leave scar tissue, I can't do another session until it clears up.

Or was it just a late lunch-break? Christ, I can never tell the difference...
  3:35pm
Pearly Sweets:

Irwin is so magnificent. If he sweated, which he doesn’t, but if he did I bet it would consist of gold, rainbows, and dreams.
  3:36pm
Pearly Sweets:

How was that? Winning post? Or a negative on the way to ban-ship #9?
  3:36pm
Cecile:

oh, those pesky ferrets.
  3:40pm
Brucie:

Need Amanda's Chaos album. Awwwwwwwww dang it!. Can't find it no how. Sniff.
  3:44pm
Pearly Sweets:

I also came up empty handed in my search, Cousin Brucie. Alas I will have to just rip the song later to use in next mix album.
  3:45pm
Tree Falling in a Forest:

What is it I need to do to get banned in these parts?
  3:45pm
The voice in my head:

Irwin is telling you to kill people. Like that guy over there. I'll bet he listens to smooth jazz. Kill him.
  3:46pm
Arse:

Who would wait in line for stamps? Use the self-service kiosk and avoid the old bitties.
  3:47pm
lady in the post office:

i have never heard such insolence
  3:47pm
Arnold Ziffel:

I'm not feeling so well.
  3:47pm

I herd of that theory. Your reasoning seems pretty thin.
  3:48pm
charlie:

  3:53pm
Pearly Sweets:

Keep um coming.
  3:53pm
AnAnonymousParty:

Miley doing Ford commercials?
  3:54pm
Brucie:

Oh Irvvvvvvvvvvvin ... more Amanda? Noooooooooo! Make it stop. Can't find album and losing meaning in my life. Maybe you don't like me. Maybe you've excreted the meaning from my life. If you genuinely don't like me, pleae play another Amanda thingmo and I'll understand.
  3:55pm
fishmonkeystew:

Sign me up for the Amanda Fan Club. 100% awesome.
  3:56pm
Cecile:

Yeah. AAP. Yeah.
Doesn't Toby do the song about Let's Make some Bad Decisions? That would rule. A Ford commercial with that song.

Aw, MX-80. i worship them.
  3:56pm
Marshall Stacks:

Irwin, what's the hardest you've ever laughed?
  3:56pm
Brucie:

Just realized I've handed over one of life's goodies in exchange for nothing ... the word "thingmo". Irwin, come on, it's an extremely handy word. Thingmo Thingmo Thingmo. More Amanda.
  3:57pm
AnAnonymousParty:

Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha
Oops, looks like I'm over my limit, damn!
  3:59pm
Ghengis Jung:

Great song!
  4:00pm
Cecile:

the most glum song about laughter ever. I love them.
  4:03pm
Marshall Stacks:

Cecile, more glum than the Bee Gee's "I Started a Joke"? That won the Milan Kundera Award for most glum work of art about a joke.
  4:04pm
Cecile:

Oooh, Mx-80 are a close second, then.
  4:04pm
annie:

three dozen ginger cookies for the right explanation of that song..
  4:04pm
Marshall Stacks:

Pardon, "Bee Gees'" with the apostrophe in the right place.
  4:05pm
Cecile:

I will now proceed with tying a damsel in distress to a railroad track. This time I cannot fail.........

  4:16pm
Pearly Sweets:

HOW DUMB ARE THEY?!
  4:16pm
BSI:

You call this BULB??!??!
  4:17pm
Brucie:

Dear IrWin, could you kindly play all AMANDA all the time? Thank you in advance for the format change on the station. I think it'll work out fine for me.
  4:19pm
Pearly Sweets:

Where's my dumb bulb, jerk?
  4:21pm
Parq:

'Cile, I had contemplated a quip about artificial insinuation, but I changed my mind.
  4:24pm
Lizardner Dave:

I too prefer to spend more money on electricity and change light bulbs more often. I also buy premium gas for my Hummer. That'll show those damn environmentalists!

  4:44pm
Sugar Kane Kowalczyk:

I always get the fuzzy end of the lollipop.
  4:45pm
Curious:

I understand WHY you would make it fuzzy, but I have no idea HOW you make it fuzzy.
  4:49pm
Parq:

First version of this song I ever heard. It was years before I discovered that most versions went "doo-wah, doo-wah" instead of "booh-b-boh-boh". Youth . . .
  5:03pm
Joe Bacon:

Eat more Bacon???? Ahem....
  5:04pm
Carmichael:

OK, I'm sold on Luna.
  5:05pm
ginger tim:

  5:07pm
Pearly Sweets:

Joey Hot Chocolate?
  5:08pm
Parq:

Ah, so that's where Ike has been all day. No doubt he spent the day genially agreeing with everything that the others had to say.
  5:09pm
Carmichael:

Thank goodness Ike is talking with them, If they were corresponding, he'd be correcting their punctuation.
  5:15pm
annie:

ike should get bryce to remove that apostrophe from "cd's" which never skip.
  5:21pm
Carmichael:

He'd also point out my error in the previous post, which I subconsciously did on purpose.
  5:23pm
Cecile:

What singer did Tot Taylor back up?
  5:23pm
Popfolkjazz?:

Geshundheit!
  5:28pm
Carmichael:

Tot Taylor: http://www.trouserpress.com/entry.php?a=tot_taylor_and_his_orchestra
  5:30pm
jan:

Irwin: enjoying the sounds of Tot Taylor through Esquivel- can't wait to hear the next cut
  5:31pm
Parq:

That was the least weird Esquivil track I've ever heard.
  5:31pm
Cecile:

Ah, that's right. Mari Wilson!
  5:33pm
Carmichael:

Mari Wilson.
  5:34pm
Carmichael:

We're in sync, 'Cile.
  5:34pm
ginger tim:

Wasn't Tot Taylor in Advertising? The band, I mean, not the field. I wonder if he ever met Tut Taylor.
  5:35pm
Cecile:

I know, Irwin, I have sent so many emails about mistakes to AMG. They do alter it, but it takes forevah!
  5:35pm
Cecile:

that sounds right GT.
  5:35pm
Pearly Sweets:

AMG has even gone slower and slower and slower ever since they changed their website a few years back. So not only does it not have good information, it lags getting to it.
  5:36pm
Carmichael:

Their servers are what frustrates me. Or "server" as the case may be.
  5:37pm
Pearly Sweets:

Boourns on them. BOOURNS!
  5:40pm
Pearly Sweets:

Here it comes!
  5:41pm
Carmichael:

For a moment, I thought this was Judy Tenuda.
  5:42pm
joshua:

pero...ella no es una niña¿?
she is a little girl actually.. right?
i love her music...but, rarities1986-1989..is this real?
mmm
  5:43pm
Pearly Sweets:

I mean "Up Against the Wall Redneck Mama" has some of the punch as the songs off of "Chaos", but it seems to lack some of the same punch as Amanda's proper releases. Similar Artists: Matthew Sweet. Truman's Water. Luna. Inspired By: Tad. Jud Jud. Bryce.
  5:44pm
Brucie:

Amanda! Me likey. Irween, you've got me topped-up, brother! THANKS!
  5:47pm
Carmichael:

Sounds like you're steering toward Miley Cyrus as the big closer. Fess up, Irwin ...
  5:48pm
Pearly Sweets:

Amanda = http://www.myspace.com/memedacookie
  5:50pm
Pearly Sweets:

The music video is steller.
  5:51pm
joshua:

  5:59pm
Jess:

Thank you, Irwin. This just made my day.
  8:58pm
Jerserf:

Amanda's my sis! She's 30 now and amazingly intact from our exploits back in the late 80's. If I pressed a 7" would any of ya'll come to a record release party? Thanks so much for yer support R. Stevie and everybuddy! We were pretty seriously misunderstood as children.
