Street interviews, listener call-ins, vinyl gluttery, sporadic normalcy, original floperas and fiktion, blatant talking over songs, politix, tenderness, and a vague undercurrent of angst. Right up your alley!

B/p, 'taint a new theme. "Summer of '42" trod those paths decades ago. And let's not even get started on Oedipus.

For your street shows are you using a Marantz recorder?
What kind of mike do you use?
Is all of your post processing on analog back to tape?
O.K. I'll shut up now.

Right after it first came out (1970?) the nuns loved playing JCSuperstar for us Beatles- and Guess-Who-listening middle schoolers, so they could "relate" to us. That tells you about how old *I* am...

annie - just lost the last local programming with a similar format, albeit pretty fuzzed and bent version with Kenny Rogers and contemporary entries cluttering and dulling things. But for the first time in a couple of decades, no 40s - 60s singers/songbook available to me on local commercial radio any more. Shame.

Clay's mic breaks are half the fun of listening to his programs, anyway, so just wait for it and enjoy. Or change the station if you don't.

"Clay is one of the four heartbeats of FMU for me. I love everyone, but there are four I can't miss and will fight tooth and nail for from my couch fortress or cubicle outpost."
Let me guess the others: Kenny G, Irwin, and Professor Dum Dum?
