  9:07am
annie:

  9:20am
bb:

  9:24am

  9:46am
Cecile:

  9:48am
annie:

  9:49am
Bad Ronald:

Good Morning!

I have a feeling that's about to change Annie...
  9:49am
annie:

well yeah, cecile and BR are in da house
  9:50am
dc pat:

hey folks. I'm having trouble working out my gig schedule. psychedelic horseshit tonight, chain and the gang tomorrow, damned coming up. and babysitters are in short supply...
  9:50am
Cecile:

nice. I'm going to ask Joe B. to play the Who's "Now I'm a Farmer."

maybe not.

Jason, if you aren't polarized about Todd Rundgren, can you play some?
  9:51am
roofless:

i liked how strung out/sleazy that cover of "sugar sugar" sounded
  9:51am
Cecile:

Just get some air traffic controller ear muffs and bring the kids.
  9:51am
dc pat:

Cecile: definitely, great request....just don't mention gardening or Iggy...
  9:51am
Cecile:

roofless, that's the best song to do that way.
The Original SIns did the most debauched cover - like sometihng off the first Velvets LP.
  9:52am
Bad Ronald:

"Now I'm a Farmer" would be nice.

Gourds!
  9:52am
dc pat:

you know, I would but...their kind aren't aloud..
  9:57am
Cecile:

you request it, BR.

aw, dcp, screw the hatas.
  9:58am
Cecile:

say they'r primordial dwarfs and also mute. And then threaten to sic the EEOC on 'em.
  9:58am
Bad Ronald:

Done!
  9:58am
Cecile:

but then again, getting kids to be quiet all night...
  9:59am
Cecile:

where in Michigan?
  10:01am
dc pat:

they'd probably pass out at the bar too. frowned on in these parts..
  10:02am
jason:

paik was/is from detroit, but i think now the 3 members are scattered across the US
  10:04am
Cecile:

ah. Yes, Detroit. They had to go elsewhere, like all us Michiganian/ganders
  10:09am
roofless:

are there bolmongani records? i'm loving this live set!
  10:12am
Cecile:

took the words out of my mouth, roofie.
  10:13am
roofless:

totally feeling that 20 second U.S. Maple-ish intro turning into pure pop riff, can't get enough of this guy!
  10:14am
Pearly Sweets:

Hooray!
  10:15am
jason:

awesome! i just linked to Beyonder Records in the playlist, wher eyou can pick up the 1st Bolmongani album. 2nd album is on the way, Ryan said he'd almost finished it before tour. But he did have a pretty killer tour split with tourmate (and sometimes fellow Paik member) Ezee Tiger
  10:18am
Cecile:

Just picked it up. I love this modern era.
  10:19am
jason:

yeah, go internets!
  10:19am
Cecile:

you kids are keeping me young.
  10:23am
Ryan:

Amazing set!! Where have you been all my life? Were the first few cuts off the s/t record?
  10:26am
roofless:

oh man whistling
  10:28am
Cecile:

I love the way Michigan people mix things.
The melody, the soul, the noise, the Anglophilia, everything.
  10:29am
roofless:

is the new Bolmongani release going to be CD only as well?
  10:30am
Emily:

  10:32am

  10:38am
doug from dc:

Darn, missed Bolmongani's set. Saw both of these guys play at Avant Fairfax in VA last weekend, and they were my fave acts from the whole festival. Not one, but two one-man bands - awesome!
  10:38am
Cecile:

THANKS
  10:39am
Ryan:

and is it after "nam june paik"?
  10:48am
Cecile:

WAHWAHWAHWAHWAHWAHWAHWAHWAHWAH
  10:50am
jason:

i used to think it was pah-yeek but ryan pronounced it "pake"..not sure where it comes from!
  10:50am
roofless:

"almost wasted" is a total burner and i kinda hear the "sister ray" riff behind the solo. whole deal makes me want to get "definitely wasted." perfect for long, hot summer nights. i live in philly and am stoked to catch this shit live sometime.
  10:51am
Cecile:

ok, that's cool.
  10:51am
Pearly Sweets:

My office isn't nearly hazey enough for this song.
  10:52am

I should make a mix of painter songs. Vincent, Salvador Dali, Pablo Picasso. I think that's all I can think of off the top of my head. Not a promising start. ... I'll just finish off the last 68 minutes with captain ahab remixes.
  11:52am
Cecile:

Cecile:

Oh, you like that song. Sorry. Ignore that.
  11:53am
Pearly Sweets:

How about one of the pop punk covers of it? I am pretty sure like The Vandals or NOFX or somebody did a version in the mid-90s. I can't take off one of my three songs? I ONLY HAVE THREE!

doug:

pretty awesome stuff, man.
  11:55am
Pearly Sweets:

Nice work on getting that name out there, Jason.
