Cecile:

  12:07pm

I guess big ass nails are even bigger than nine inch ones...
  12:11pm
jmaes:

sounds like harry pussy without distortion
  12:11pm
risky!:

GO LIZ! lets start this week strong!
  12:13pm
Marshall Stacks:

Is the left channel out? I'm listening to the 128k MP3 stream.

Hi Liz.
  12:14pm
Liz B.:

Left channel is really quiet because the turntable I am using acts up on me somehow every week. It is cursed. I am cursed.
  12:17pm
Carmichael:

Hi Liz. I have no channel preference. Whatever works for you.
  12:18pm
cursive:

In a track about Egypt! The mummy's curse!
  12:19pm
Old Geezer:

Coming from an era of mono lps, any music is music to my ears!
  12:22pm
Liz B.:

Yeah, I guess it was a mummy's curse. Think I fixed it, we shall see if Turntable 3 (aka Stunt Turntable) will strike again.
  12:23pm
Turntable:

neener neener :-P
  12:23pm
risky!:

TCB LIZ! Liz takin care of biz!
  12:26pm
Joe Steele:

I trust there are no problems with the CD Rack.
  12:27pm
Marshall Stacks:

I and my left ear thank you.
  12:28pm
dc pat:

that's funny, I use my left ear to keep tabs on thing as well...
  12:29pm
Liz B.:

OH NOES, now Turntable 2 is lefting out!! It is a curse!
  12:30pm
dc pat:

oh I see, not a choice which ear to use today...
  12:31pm
pauldepiperssoninberlin:

  12:32pm
Liz B.:

Apologies to the Lefties.
  12:35pm
Joe Steele:

Just because it's left doesn't mean it's not right.
  12:36pm
Marshall Stacks:

A sinister plot.
  12:44pm
Dum Dum Guy at the Gates of Dawn:

Have you tried whacking the turntable with a darn good slap of an open hand? That ususally works for me.
  12:46pm
dc pat:

friend of mine use to recommend removing the needle cartridge and licking the contacts, no lie.
  12:54pm
dc pat:

man, I only had to hear 5 seconds of this tune to know I liked it.
  12:54pm
annie:

pat, didn't we used to do that to 9 volt batteries to get a jolt?
  12:56pm
dc pat:

used to?
  12:56pm
annie:

haha. ;)
  12:59pm
Liz B.:

DC Pat, that is actually what some do here at WFMU when the turntables are acting up. I employ the unscrew-treat-like-broken-Nintendo-cartridge technique. Thanks to Station Manager Ken's spit, I think we are saved.
  1:00pm
Dum Dum Guy at the Gates of Dawn:

I test the electric sockets in my house by bending open a paperclip and sticking it in. The trick is to let go of it really, really fast.
  1:00pm
mike:

yes! can't wait for the new asdig album!
  1:01pm
annie:

ok, i'll be outside hiking up steps and setting a footing.. later, gators..
  1:01pm
Ken Spit:

I am magic. Fear me. I still have a curse in force on The Sorcerer's Apprentice.
  1:02pm
dc pat:

ah, Ken is wise.
so long annie.
We use to make "socket busters" in high school with the paper clip through a pencil eraser. The bigger the paper clip, the bigger the flame!
  1:08pm
Marshall Stacks:

My mycophile brother-in-law sometimes collects and cooks elfin saddles. They are yummy. And they do look like the little saddles that elves ride on.
  1:17pm
~L:

Hi Liz,
What's your PO Box preference?
I'm sorry I'm so late...
  1:19pm
Liz B.:

Hey ~L, no worries! You can hit P.O. Box 2011, Jersey City, NJ 07303.
  1:24pm
~L:

Great, now I'm on it!
  1:27pm
Chris:

That's pronounced et tu "brootay"
  1:28pm
mike:

i love that spit trick with cartridges! it works every time!
  1:33pm
Cecile:

I will have to listen to the Amanda show on archive. So I can pause lots and lots
  1:47pm
Parq:

Miz Liz: Mike was having similar one-channell trouble this AM, and I believe he employed the spit-shine method. Ultimately, he concluded that his headphones had shorted out.

Ken, are you teling me I shoud get out the money I have invested in "Apprentice"?
  1:57pm
Ken Spit:

I'm just saying, don't invest in their completion bond company. That's all. No biggie.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!
  2:01pm
Ken Spit:

http://tinyurl.com/msa2s2

I don't mess around.
  2:08pm
Parq:

My strangely Orwellian work puter will not allow me to see the piece, Ken, but the headline as incorporated into the URL tells me everything I need to know. Maybe you should change your name to "Mojo Ken".
  2:09pm
Joe Steele:

The link:

"Nicolas Cage reportedly hired a Voodoo Priestess to remove a curse on the New York City set of his movie, The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, after two car accidents in two days left crew members and bystanders injured."
  2:10pm
mb:

whispering sweet nothings?
  2:13pm
Parq:

Miz Liz, as far as I know, the one in Greenpoint is currently the only one.

  2:15pm
Ken Spit:

July 14th:

“In 38 days on set, we had 32 days of rain, which didn’t help us, said Jerry Bruckheimer, producer of the film."

http://tinyurl.com/lopm58

I am the magic liquid. Sorry, anyone who got soaked during June, but I had some unfinished business with Dizzney. Rain is poetic justic for a Sorcerer's Apprentice project.
  2:21pm
Liz B.:

Ha ha, Parq, you are right about Shea Stadium!
  2:30pm
doug:

Magik Markers -- right on.
  2:37pm
Parq:

Liz, is the one in Greenpoint spelled "Chez Stadium"? I vaguely remember a bar in the East Village by that name back in the day.
  2:51pm
osvi:

Hey Liz! I will be seeing XYX tonight in Sacramento!! Whoo Whoo!!!
  2:58pm
north guinea hills:
