Charles:

  7:13pm
Vicki:

harro Charles - I think everyone's out sunning themselves this week
  7:16pm
charles:

not in the southern hemisphere, not the people who live underground, either. Just sayin'
  7:17pm
Vicki:

people who live underground are actually Wombles, which is something completely different.
  7:17pm
young colleague:

i stick around for this show, yes.
  7:17pm
ranjit:

the sun here in New York is deadly these days, when it dares to show its face.
  7:18pm
Vicki:

hello Ranjit! It's dark here. Live comments eh. Can't beat them.
  7:22pm
Vicki:

if anyone else can recommend any great youtube stuff relevant to this show then please do paste..
  7:24pm
gerardo:

hola, vicki!
at work now, taking advantage of the pcs around to listen to the show live ;)
  7:24pm
Vicki:

hi Gerardo!
  7:25pm
Taylor:

Anything from Kutiman's page would be swell. Please note that all seven tracks will play in sequence, so watch the progress bar. http://thru-you.com/Main.swf
  7:26pm
gerardo:

btw, "it's gonna rain after a while" around santiago de chile soon :S - tired of this winter
  7:26pm
Vicki:

will check links after... thanks
  7:27pm
gerardo:

isn't that a mexican dance called "el sombrero"?
  7:28pm
Vicki:

is it? I'm not sure. It's on the Sublime Frequencies comp called Latinamericarpet... is great, the whole album
  7:29pm
gerardo:

will check that comp later, thanx ;)
  7:32pm
Vicki:

quite laid back this week, isn't it
  7:33pm
gerardo:

bert kaempfert: one of my dad's idols :)
  7:34pm
Vicki:

Bert is a national treasure. Not sure who'd have him but he's a treasure anyway
  7:34pm
ranjit:

Have you seen the catcerto? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zeoT66v4EHg
  7:34pm
Marshall Stacks:

What did Andy decide? Is it going to be yes? Or no?
  7:34pm
gerardo:

bp nichol's has to do with that twitter black out?
  7:36pm
?:

Tuli Kupferberg, the World's Greatest Poet (ex-).
  7:36pm
irene:

the music makes this interesting...should have marching band music in my statistics class
  7:37pm
Vicki:

can't look at the youtubes until afterwards but thanks!

What did Andy decide about what, sorry? I only caught two thirds of the show.

what's that about bpNichol and twitter?

HA HA, suddenly I know nothing
  7:38pm
Vicki:

find Tuli at UbuWeb, thank you!
  7:39pm
Marshall Stacks:

Andy Warhol was apparently dithering. "Uh yes, uh no."

I assume he was partly the inspiration for Tuli K.'s piece.
  7:40pm
Vicki:

Andy was doing a Joseph Beuys
  7:41pm
Marshall Stacks:

Aha. I thought that would involve felt, or fat, or both.
Or am I confused?
  7:41pm
gerardo:

thanx for that "singin'" ;)
  7:41pm
ranjit:

this reminded me of do or diy when i heard it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U0nBZQtOcts
  7:42pm
Vicki:

oooh thanks for all these links. DO or DIY food
  7:43pm
Marshall Stacks:

Can you explain about the proms on the BBC? Sorry, I'm such a provincial.
  7:43pm
Vicki:

ok, how we doing?
  7:44pm
Vicki:

the Proms is a orchestral celebration for the masses at the Royal Albert Hall in London where everyone sings along (sometimes)
  7:45pm
Vicki:

I suppose you could just say it's a posh concert that isn't very avant or retard but it can border on the bizarre
  7:45pm
gerardo:

nice
that donovan song reminds me of "my dinner with jimi" movie
  7:46pm
Vicki:

... especially when everyone claps
because clapping can be very funny
  7:46pm
Marshall Stacks:

Thanks, not what I assumed. :-) Prom means something quite different in the US.
  7:47pm
Vicki:

yes we only pretend to share the same language :)
  7:47pm
Taylor:

Another link you may enjoy: Chicago's own Lord of the Yum Yum, a beatboxer in a tux: http://www.lordoftheyumyum.com/
  7:48pm
Vicki:

great, thanks
  7:48pm
Gustav:

Yeah, at least in the London proms you get to stand up for the show, therefore you don't end up with a sore fanny.
  7:49pm
Vicki:

DAMN there's a moskito in here. Earlier it was a big spider and now it's a moskito
  7:50pm
Vicki:

or go home in just your pants
  7:51pm
gerardo:

insects strike back?
  7:52pm
Vicki:

of the human variety
  7:53pm
Gustav:

What about horse flies? I killed three today... I can't deal with the guilt.
  7:54pm
Vicki:

I KILLED the earllier moskito in the living room and I then got one little bugger in the kitchen and the BIG SPIDER in the hallway is now in the garden and the snails are eating the rocket

WHAT
  7:55pm
Horse Fly Ghost:

We are really good at haunting. Sleep with the lights on, from here out, my dear boy.
  7:55pm
Gustav:

Hung like a horse fly!
  7:56pm
Vicki:

I don't know if I even like what I play
  7:56pm
Gustav:

The snails are eating the rocket! Is this still English??
  7:56pm
gerardo:

merciless killing with no remorse!
any "get smart" dialogs around?...
  7:57pm
Vicki:

Neil Diamond deals with moskitos like a hero
  7:59pm
Gustav:

Splatch! It's a beautiful noise...

Excellent show, thank-you. I can sleep like a baby now.
  7:59pm
gerardo:

hell yeah!
  7:59pm
Vicki:
