Listener comments!

  12:02pm
annie:

morning liz b...
  12:05pm
Carmichael:

Morning, Liz.
  12:05pm
GP:

Good mornign Liz , Annie.
This Roland Young track is very mellow. I thought this was a John Adams piece for a minute. Needless to say....I like it.
  12:05pm
Liz B.:

Hi all, happy Monday!
  12:06pm
AlizaEss:

I rarely comment here, but had to say that it's a very gray and cool morning (sweater & a cup of coffee weather) and this music is perfect...
  12:08pm
russell:

nice liz, very nice
  12:09pm
stingy d:

aliza needs pie.
  12:10pm
kristin:

great to tune in and hear the warm jets warming up! its cool and grey out here in Portland and this is what we need, warm jets.
  12:12pm
AlizaEss:

ooh, yeah... pie.
  12:13pm
annie:

all that talk of food and i am snacking on soft goat cheese and peanut butter.. and the last of the coffee..
  12:15pm
chuck:

Is that a remix or bonus track Eno? It sure sounds much different than my copy.
  12:25pm
doug in DC:

The remastered Here Come the Warm Jets sounds different from the older versions. The sound is clearer, but it loses some of the mood.
  12:30pm
annie:

that book, "seven types of ambiguity" is right up my alley. looks like a great study..
  12:30pm
Tom:

Cluster sounding very good. Vintage even!
  12:41pm
dragonflyshards:

Liz i expect you'll rock out later, but right now you're right on target. Thanx
  12:42pm
Sam:

So psyched for Jessie Evans!
  12:50pm
chuck:

Thanks doug in, I feel the same way about the re-Zappas.
Also, My vinyl Robert Fripp "Exposure" uses completely different music and vocal tracks. Quite odd.
  12:53pm
Chris:

my 'here comes the warm jets' cd has 'penguin cafe orchestra' and the info for that album printed on it
  1:02pm
BSI:

Reissues are tricky beasts. When Hawkwind's PXR5 went to CD, it had a totally different vocal track on High Rise from the original vinyl, which was such a shock I had to be hospitalized for hundreds of years. Or perhaps it just seemed that way.
  1:03pm
dragonflyshards:

'sayin...Warm jets is supposed to be murky and lure one into a fog..i turnedon ater it,oday...and i d want to here it,but-will it still put me in a meadow?or a cave?..or will it be a mountain top?...so,chuck, you're vinyl Exposure-as opposed to...CD reissue?
  1:04pm
dragonflyshards:

(orry about the tyos- keyboard sucks)
  1:09pm
dragonflyshar:

(turned / on;after;today;do;hear{my fault})
  1:12pm
Blue Screen of Death:

General Protection Fault
  1:16pm
Carmichael:

Someone messed with Hawkwind, BSI? I wished they'd take the silly phaser effect out of their otherwise great music, instead of messing with the voices.
  1:31pm
Dean Moriarty:

Ramblings!?
  1:34pm
dragonflyshards:

Dino- & missing link reminded me of Wire, which reminds me that i heard Buzzcocks on the PA at Trader Joe's this morning. (!)(well,i was surprised...) ...........(ramblings?)
  1:36pm
Liz B.:

Wow, the Buzzcocks at Trader Joe's?? Almost as good as "Lust for Life" being in an ad for a cruise ship!
  1:37pm
m p:

great show, i love kraus. check him out at http://kraus.co.nz/
  1:41pm
Jay from Scotland:

YES!
  1:42pm
Chris, not Chris:

Wish my Trader Joe's was that cool. My favorite is stil when Flying Saucer Atack was used for a Saturn commercial.
  1:48pm
dragonflyshars:

beautiful !...That sounds like an ad i can sit through !
  1:55pm
Jay from Scotland:

YES to this too
  1:56pm
Liz B.:

Hi Jay, hope all is well in Scotland!
  1:59pm
Jay from Scotland:

Just returned from cosmic visit to Loch Ness, one v strange gorgeous place...
  2:14pm
Men in BLack:

Jay,you don't remember what you REALLY saw there now do you? Good...we thought so.
  2:18pm
The Log Lady:

I'm liking these Jessie Evans tracks! Where's she been all my life?
  2:18pm
GP:

Don't slap me for saying this but the "Is it Fire" song kind of had a Romeo Void vibe happening there. That is not a bad thing.
Jessie Evans looks like she knows how to have a good time.
  2:19pm
Liz B.:

Jessie was in the band Autonervous previously (with Bettina Koster of Malaria!) and has collaborated with Glass Candy:

nyc:

This is awesome! What's live and what's electronic?
  2:21pm
tt:

Definitely getting a bit of a Morphine vibe from this. Love it!
  2:23pm
Manu:

What a great drummer!
  2:23pm
Liz B.:

Jessie is live on sax and vox, Toby is live on drums, timbales, fish, maracas. They've got some backing stuff pre-recorded (extra drums, echoed vox/sax).
  2:25pm
annie:

this is great music!!! just great, and i was thinking the same thing about the drumming... as i bounce my head.. :)
  2:28pm
maximum goose:

Nik Turner style sax!
  2:36pm
GP:

It s pretty rare for me to like every song in set, but this set has been insanely awesome so far. I am searching around for some of their CD"s to buy.
  2:42pm
Liz B.:

GP, try centraleuro.org
  2:43pm
Sara:

There must be some kind of conspiracy in the canned-retail-soundtrack world right now... I heard the Buzzcocks in a 'wichcraft the other day! Which song did you hear, dfs?
  2:51pm
GP:

Thank you Liz!
  2:59pm
Jay from Scotland:

Five stars=this track!!!
  5:48am
Матвей:

Хорошая музыка, правильная.
Спасибо Лизавета!
  1:30pm
