Favoriting Seven Second Delay with Ken and Andy: Playlist from September 2, 2009 Favoriting

-жеи's avatar View -жеи's profile Favoriting

The program formerly known as Dinner at Andy's, The Fuzzy Glove Hour, Whores, and The Happiness Hut. Ken and Andy, also known as The Enema Boys, further lower WFMU's already abysmal standards on a weekly basis. Stunt radio which subjects the radio audience to concepts and topics which mature adults should not have to endure. Find the fatal flaw. (Visit homepage.)

Listener comments!

  6:08pm
Ken From Hyde Park:

I was away for a week or so. Good to hear you guys again.
  6:15pm
JT:

If not 7SD Barbershop Quartet, how about Happiness Hut? Or any other former name....
  6:16pm
Barbershop Quarter Society:

We still have those Jewish quota maximums, like the Ivies before the 1950s. So you need some goys in the group to apply.
  6:16pm
PMD:

I'm of the wrong gender. That leaves me out.
  6:17pm
Vicki:

a kazoo quartet might be less intimidating and it certainly wouldn't sound like kack by 7pm
  6:21pm
Name:

Yeah, that works. You can be The Royal Flush. Four floating turds. Get the plunger.
  6:21pm
Danne D:

Awesome!
Trainwreck!
THIS is why SSD is so beloved!
:)
  6:23pm
Al Kaline:

fatal flaw... so early...
  6:28pm
Vicki:

you'd be better off doing God Only Knows
  6:29pm
John McCabe in LA:

is this the carol King version of the James Taylor version
  6:29pm
Premise Police:

Cocoanuts to Andy. Ken hasn't suffered like this in weeks.
  6:30pm
greg:

so somebody is supposed to arrange this song, teach it to four people who may be able to carry a tune, and perform it?
i see no flaw with this show
  6:30pm
Woeski:

The best part of this is not having to actually listen to any barbershop quartet music.. so far at least, hope I didn't jinx it
  6:31pm
Danne D:

whoa whoa whoa
I called Seven Second Delay first!

Frangry was but a mere schoolchild when I first was calling Ken and Andy!
  6:32pm
Great:

an old school boy band with handlebar mustaches. wow. it'll make the end-of-marathon live show look like Pavarotti at the Met.
  6:32pm
Danne D:

Though it's kinda scary that I actually might've helped this premise along :D
  6:33pm
Danne D:

That is genius, Great!
  6:34pm
Danne D:

SEE! The boyband phrase worked! Calls aplenty now!
  6:36pm
Someone With Ears:

Your bass sounds like Clarence Frogman Henry doing the frog.
  6:36pm
Danne D:

So which one is the "cute" coconut?
Which one is the "serious" coconut?
Which is the "funny" coconut?
And which one is the "forgotten" coconut?
  6:37pm
Helpful:

Ken is the totally suicidal cocoanut.
  6:38pm
Danne D:

Okay, so now we know Daniel is the forgotten coconut.
  6:39pm
Danne D:

OMG, this actually is going to work?!?
This is the other reason we love SSD!
  6:40pm
Maybe Better...:

Peter Gabriel, Bob Fripp, and others did a barbershop track on Gabriel's first solo album. Title, "Excuse Me".
  6:41pm
Danne D:

Don McLean's record label on line 5...
  6:41pm
Someone With Ears:

I just heard the key slide into the drivers side lock on Andy's car.
  6:41pm
MONTREAL:

:(
  6:42pm
John McCabe in LA:

someday Ken will forget about this find it and play it on his show
  6:42pm
New Name for No Ken-Andy 7SD:

DIY
  6:43pm
mike:

we HAVE TO get these guys to play at ucb
  6:45pm
Update:

Ken and Andy are currently two miles from the station discussing where to stop for dinner. They are NOT tuned to FMU.
  6:45pm
Ken:

We can take one more call at 201-200-9368. Call!
  6:46pm
rob:

you guys should have a cursing contest
  6:46pm
I know what this is!!!!:

Four Part Disharmony.
  6:47pm
Irwin:

Just when I think Seven Second Delay has hit bottom, it turns out there’s a sub-basement.
  6:47pm
mike:

GUYS please tell me you'll come to ucb in october or november and perform live!!!
  6:47pm
Marcus:

When times get rough, Dead Air Chicken.
  6:48pm
Jason:

Oop, my connection cut out, someone else has to go "bum bum bum"
  6:48pm
Laurie:

Paging Zachary Brimstead.
  6:49pm
Danne D:

actually they should all call in to UCB - I mean if they are actually in the same place wouldn't that spoil some of the magic? :)
  6:49pm
Hmm:

Not sure it's a sub basement. Maybe more like the radio talk show equivalent of that portal to hell under the basement or swimming pool that they use in cheesy horror film plotting.
  6:50pm
Listener Julian:

Or like when that guy fell through the rotted out floor of Ruby's on Coney Island into an open sewer.
  6:51pm
mike:

do's are his passion. i was really hoping the other guy would say bums are his passion.
  6:51pm
Danne D:

Next week on SSD: Ken and Andy use a free conference call service to simulate the Mormon Tabernacle Choir
  6:53pm
jbm:

this reminds me of the scene in "Superbad" where Michael Cera has to sing in a back room for a bunch of cokeheads.
  6:54pm
FCC employee:

In one more minute, *I* am gonna swear my ass off on the air.
  6:55pm
Pork Store:

Send those hams over for processing
  6:56pm
Danne D:

LOL one of them is trying to make the band break up before 7 but the other 2 are going along...
  6:56pm
mike:

hey guys, one of you should put your receiver up to the radio so you can start getting some nice voice feedback
  6:57pm
Ahhhhhh:

The outro was never such a welcome sound! Now I know how Andy feels every week.
  6:58pm
Ken:

Time for a legal ID, gents!
  6:59pm
Vicki:

blimey
  6:59pm
Outro Note:

This week, forget Good. Just Bad and Ugly. Correction: Fugly.
  6:59pm
HAHAHAHAHA:

Enjoying your lead-in, Vickster?
  7:00pm
Vicki:

seamless
  7:01pm
Wow:

Nice save, Vicki!!!
  7:01pm
Danne D:

The Legal ID does still need to happen tho
  7:04pm
uh oh:

I did one a little early, that doesn't count? Is Ken getting a big FCC fine?
  7:07pm
Aaron:

Being a part of the quartet was an honor and a privilege.
  7:13pm
Jason:

I am touched to have been a part of perhaps the biggest trainwreck in the history of the show. I warned you going in: they made me lip-sync in choir. I can't wait for the reunion tour!
  1:15pm
G:

Amazing. Not too many people with a radio show would think it would be better if the left it halfway through. Brilliant move.
  10:12pm
Bill:

Kudos to us and thanks to danne d. mike and john mccabe for the support. The worst part about being on-air was that like Andy most of my best zingers never saw the light of day. For instance, 7SD vs. SUW: is it about preparation or promotion. ba dum bum. And IRWIN, the view down here is just fine thank you. Except for your kilt.
  2:56pm
cheerios:

amazing show thank you
