Listener comments!

  9:02am
annie:

morning bw, and all... :)
  9:06am
jan:

I gotta turn this up!
  9:09am
bw:

I plug in and all I got is a dead computer! is this because I downloaded curb your enthusiasm last night?
  9:15am
PMD:

LOL! Great name for a band - Karma Cop.
  9:16am
Mac:

Quick... copyright that "Karma Kops" idea, before somebody else does it!
  9:16am
BSI:

I was bitchin' about them "laws of the universe" last week when the 128k mp3 stream was cursed last week.....

but so far, we seem blessed with good normalness! At least regarding the stream...
  9:17am
jsb:

dont mess w larry david man
  9:17am
PMD:

You could play Stairway to heaven. That's a long song.
  9:18am
Ψ-Ns:

BW - My wife's MacBook wouldn't start a couple of days ago (at work). We went thru the troubleshooting steps on the Apple support site and fixed it quick.
  9:21am
~L:

Try resetting your drivers.
  9:22am
bw:

thanks all

the thing is the screen wont go live.. the little white light on the front lock lights up (its a mac book pro) but thats it
  9:25am
wha?:

Have anything in the Superdrive? Rogue DVD, or...

poptart?
  9:27am
BSI:

try starting it without any external USB or firewire connex... Sometimes my iMac gets creeped if I've left something plugged in (camera via USB) and freezes on the white screen on startup. Unplug the USB, starts fine, then back to normal. ... probably useless, but it's an idea.
  9:28am
BSI:

failing that, you can always resort to human sacrifice to the goddess Mechania.
  9:31am
bw:

does the music count as a sacrifice?
  9:32am
bw:

sacrifice picture!
  9:33am
BSI:

it's gotta be HUMAN sacrifice, so make it some all-vocal stuff.
gregorian chants and suchlike.
Mechania don't suffer no chumps.
  9:39am
annie:

the veiled avenger!! yay!. and i'm going out right now to buy more bonds!
  9:49am

  9:49am

  10:23am

Blood thieves .... My neighborhood's rife with 'em.

  10:33am
doug from DC:

Pat, I've seen the ghost of my old cat, too. You may need to get ghost cat litter if it happens again.
  10:33am
Cecile:

Here it is.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f_uOizSkvFo

I saw! I will have to Netflix Science of Sleep after hubby sends back Transformers...
  10:35am
dc pat:

thanks for the tip doug. My vision was definitely absinthe-induced.
  10:36am
GP:

Morning all. DC PAT. I had cat ghosts in my house too. Former owner had them, not ours..weird. Saw them twice then no more.
  10:41am
annie:

i'm hoping to be down in williamsburg on the 17th.. there's an absinthe tasting at a bar there. details to follow..
  10:45am
dc pat:

  10:53am
SmokinJ:

Nah, Wisconsin!
  10:55am
dc pat:

  11:02am
BSI:

  11:09am
doug from DC:

Hey BSI, we're neighbors now.
  11:10am
Carmichael:

I wish I was named Blasto.
  11:11am
BSI:

that Persona track was megahip!
Doug: eh? You in the district proper now?
  11:12am
doug from DC:

Yup, up on Buchanan, a couple of blocks from Layne's. I kidded not about the re-urbanification.
  11:13am
GP:

O.K....this Bill Orcutt song is EXACTLY what my head felt like on Saturday morning....arrgh.
  11:14am
dc pat:

welcome back doug.

love the Orcutt stuff.
  11:15am
GP:

Wait maybe it was that Persona track...I don't know, my playlist is ahead of the actual songs being played I think.
  11:16am
bw:

sorry

I am updating now
  11:19am
GP:

No Benjamin, It is not you, It always happens with me on this end. The playlist is always ahead of the song being played. I think it is our connection on this end or something...but thanks for trying : )
  11:20am
BSI:

so maybe it was Persona!
and that wacky cowboy thing gets five stars as well.
Doug: welcome to the belly of the beast!
Buchanan might still be in delivery range of Fusion, if you dig having curry brought to your door.......
  11:23am
bw:

the bad cowboy thing was solar skeletons.. I had to edit it.. that cowboy had a dirty mouth
  11:29am
Ken From Hyde Park:

I'm anxious to see what The Veiled Avenger is going to do with those crazy vampires.
  11:31am
a mac user:

bw, you've probably had a lot of tips, but the lack of response when you power on your machine sounds like it might be a power supply issue.
  11:38am
Ike:

Your dream indicates that you MUST write this screenplay and get wheelbarrows of cash for it from dopey movie execs, or disaster will befall you. "Karma Cop" will be hilarious. I can see it now. You can pitch it as "an urbane 'My Name is Earl' meets 'Death of a Salesman,' but funnier, and without so much death. Or so many salesmen."
  11:38am
a mac user:

most of my experience is with the desktop G3 and G4 macs, but the fault you've described matches issues I've resolved by replacing the system cooling fan and/or power supply
  11:39am
Carmichael:

I love the current comic panel. Reminds me of The Howl.
  11:40am
bw:

thanks IKE!

is this the wrong speed?? pumice??
  11:42am
dc pat:

nope, if it works, it's the right speed..
  11:42am
doug from DC:

BSI, anyone delivering curry will always be welcome at my door. We were mixing up our own veggies with berbere spice last night, courtesy of local Ethiopian markets.
  11:51am
dc pat:

man, when Kenny G comes in on this song, he just ruins it...
  11:53am
Vicki:

regarding the Mac prob - have you taken the battery out? A faulty battery can stop a Mac from starting up from the mains.
  11:55am
Carmichael:

Thanks, bw.
  11:56am
nasok:

oh, yeah, time for the best song of the week.
  11:56am
Ken From Hyde Park:

OK, so how come the grenade blew up about fifteen feet from her and it didn't so much as knock her hat askew? Good to know little Skipper made it through alright.
  11:57am
still b/p:

From his marvelously equipped observatory on his private star, the alert Stardust saw the murderous vengeance and showboatish casualty count achieved by The Veiled Avenger, and he said, "Mmm, this lady is fiiiiiiine!"
  11:57am
bw:

and you can check out the fall schedule now! see youse all soon
