Listener comments!

  12:13pm
Cecile:

YES. This album was the Ann Arbor National anthem of '81,
Yay! Maria and Fabio! You must have matching disco outfits, right?

Call the pledgeline! That's a hot number!
  12:18pm
gerardo:

all foxy's material we hear here in chile is 'pensando en tí', cecile- that's a spanish speaking ballad they wrote using english grammar :S
  12:18pm
Carmichael:

How about Sir Monte Rock III??
  12:20pm
Cecile:

Their English songs are written using Martian grammar, so it's all good.

That's crazy, Gerardo, because Tito Puente's kid was in that band! You'd think he'd know a little Spanish!
  12:24pm
gerardo:

ok, lol
sure, cecile, they came here to 1979's festival de viña, i guess - but the song has some lines like "quiero que sepas que caí en amor" instead of "quiero que sepas que me enamoré", or "la próxima mañana, cuando me levanté" instead of "la mañana siguiente..."
  12:26pm
Cecile:

Well, maybe it was Spanglish? They were cubanos from Florida. Could be some vernacular thing.

IA does = Iowa
  12:27pm
Golden Sours:

Every time this song is on I just kinda wish it was Todd instead. :(
  12:29pm
Cecile:

Or Daryl Hall. Or Gregg Alexander...
  12:33pm
gerardo:

i guess that was some interference problem, cecile. sort of usual in some bi-trilingual families.

there are lots of music in that spirit, too, but it seemed that, in this case, the song was intended to be read seriously...
  12:34pm
Matt:

Bye Bye Blackbird on steel drums??? wow...
  12:38pm
Cecile:

Hit up the writers for money, too!
  12:39pm
Lisa:

"Little Johnny Cash" is DJ Keili's little brother. He gets mad at me every Weds. when I pick him up from nursery school and Maria's show is on. BUT I DON"T CARE! I LOVE IT!
@Gerardo: OYE! QUE ONDA EN CHILE!?!
  12:41pm
Cecile:

awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.

I type things and staple things to other things...That's my job.
  12:45pm
gerardo:

  12:46pm
Joe Steele:

Even the people who get a paycheck probably don't profit financially.
  12:47pm
Lisa:

Soy la mama de Keili!
  12:50pm

She got Bette Davis thighs.
  1:00pm
Danne D:

Heck, even one less coffee refill a day should get you to the 3-DJ premium level :) You can do that - and you'll be less twitchy.
  1:00pm
Cecile:

And if you pledge a mouse pledge, you get a big box of stuff in the dog days of summer!
  1:02pm
Danne D:

You're so right Cecile - Swag Day is the best. It's like Christmas in summertime (except the stuffs all good and you don't have to return it)
  1:06pm
Cecile:

If you dont' have a lot of $$, $15 still gets you in the running for good CDs and you get a sticker and reduced admission to the record fair.
  1:23pm
chris:
