Good evening, Hatch. I trust all is well with you.
  11:10pm
Hatch:

Very very well, thank you sir!
  11:11pm
Kat:

As exciting as the marathon is, it's nice to have Monday evenings back to normal. Well, the WFMU version of normal.
  11:11pm
nec13:

You were not wrong about the "Next Stop...Soweto" compilation. It's awesome.

chris in madison:

this roy ayers song (the OG) was in a huge box of 45s i picked up from a lady selling off her husbands collection. "running away" was another cut in there as well.

this re-edit is sooooo gooood.

that box also had something like a dozen james brown 45s. easily the best 35 bucks i have ever spent.

DJ Hatch + The Funky Jamz

Hatch:

I was thinking more like:

"Funky Jamz With DJ Hatch"
  12:03am
trent:

DJ Hatch + The Arpeggiators of the Apocalypse
  12:08am
?:

Replace "Arpeggiators" with "Arpeggiatorz" and "Apocalypse" with "Apocalypz" and you've got a deal.

Danne D:

Hi there Hatch - you did a great job as mission control host in the second half of the marathon - don't sell yourself short :) With Liz Berg you made quite the team I must say. Next time I'll consult wit you before accidentally choosing too similar a shirt :)
Anyhow, really enjoying the show tonight. Hadn't heard that Bonzo Goes To Washington track - Ronnie forgot rule 1 of radio about assuming all mikes are live:)
Keep up the great work good sir!

(Btw while the marathon is over i you are somehow wracked by guilt you can in fact still pledge to the station - see the front page.)
  1:26am
Danne D:

of course I meant IF you are wracked by guilt.

I'm now gonna kick back and enjoy the rest of the show. Hope all in FMU-land similarly are catching up on their sleep :) Take care!
  1:51am
Bryan:

I step away for half the final set and Hatch decides he's going back to Joanna Newsom. Did I miss some conversation about this earlier or are you just a little fickle?

I like that track, even though it's a little Joni Mitchell.
