A viking ship appears on the horizon, a likeness of Alice Coltrane carved into its bow. Rare birds flock together to sing Francoise Hardy as soul hits. A sunset of blips and bleeps fills the air.

Cecile:

I would pay to see that bird on tour.
Heh, his name is Chook. LMAO. How Australian.
  10:08am
Kendall!:

I don't think you're allowed to hunt owls. Or that you would want to. I don't imagine they have good meat on them.
  10:08am
jaypee:

Awww, cute Barn Owl.
  10:09am
annie:

sleeping owl..
  10:09am
Cecile:

owl cam! Awesome.
All the Shiba Inus are growed up. They get big so fast!

Many sportsmen like nature. Seriously. I have hunters in my family, and it's not just hunting that gets them out in the forest. My 88 year old Father in Law goes out and picks berries.
  10:10am
Cecile:

No, Dusty was still healthy.
But they remained fast friends until she passed.
  10:11am
Jennique:

Owl cam on. CHECK.
Trouble on the airwaves. CHECK.
It's going to be a good day.

  10:20am
Hugh:

Good morning, Trouble, & all!
The website-USstream.tv, has about 30 cams on. One is located right here in NJ, at Doris Duke's Farm, in Hillsborough,-- the eagle cam--a bald eagle sitting on her eggs.
  10:25am
annie:

  10:25am
Cecile:

Hugh, Ustream is indeed the source for baby animals in all stages of development! I think they are doing the work of the angels.
  10:26am
Kevin:

Art-world joke alert (Sorry I couldn't help myself.) http://i44.tinypic.com/34pki7r.jpg
  10:26am
Jennique:

I know this has circulated the web a few times over, but I still love this site that has cameras mounted on animals backs to give the viewers their perspectives on the world. My favorite is still the armadillo.

http://www.sameasterson.com/animalborneimaging.html
  10:29am
Cecile:

Jennique, I could spend hours there.

Here's my cute animal vid: Airedale being swarmed by a black sea of Scotties.

Cecile - love it! I have way too many videos of dogs that make my favorite list. I will spare you all of them, just my all time favorite from some Japanese tv show of a french bulldog going down a slide in a dress.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3PjINWuxbpw
  10:39am
Kendall!:

Did you ever dissect owl droppings at camp? Or in class? It's surpringly fun it's like being an archeologist digging through all that hair and dirt finding bones and skulls.
  10:39am
Shana:

J'adore Woody Allen! Merci, Trouble.
  10:45am
Cecile:

Jennique, I love that silly Frenchie. Having the time of her life. I saw the Tournament of Roses parade and they had Tillman the Bulldog from America's Best Dog, and he and a whole bunch of bulldogs were surfing down this ramp. It was amazing. And the girl Bullie had a tutu!

I'm so easily amused.
  10:50am
Joe Steele:

I got the whole owl pellet experience in 6th grade. Found a vole skull.
  10:52am
Carmichael:

Good morning Trouble, bird watchers and feces inspectors.

seang:

  11:00am
Carmichael:

Oh also, has anyone heard Bryan Ferry's Dylan tribute album? Dylan songs, played kinda slick. They pushed the "smooth" slider up to 11.
  11:13am
seang:

Any barbers out there? Is it a good trade to learn?
  11:16am
Cecile:

I'm not a barber, it can be a good trade to learn.
However, you need to be careful about student loans - barbers and hairdressers have some of the highest rates of default. Also, it appears that the more versatile you can be - ie if you can do color, curly/wavy hair, African-American hair, etc - the more work you can find.

Most of the hairstylists I talk to would do nothing else.
  11:18am
scott NY.:

  11:24am
seang:

  11:25am
Carmichael:

seang, I have some info if you want to become a Berber.
  11:29am
seang:

Like Zinedine Zidane?!
  11:31am
Brunhoff:

I have some information if you want to become Babar.
  11:31am
