Listener comments!

  3:19pm muhrvis:

Greetings from Eugene, OR.
  3:21pm Mark:

Great day to hear some Dust tracks!
  3:21pm Skirkie:

What an incredibly kickass start.
  3:23pm jc:

Austin checking in. Great start this afternoon! Thanks
  3:23pm steve:

Help a damaged brain here. Didn't someone else do Bored before this? -s
  3:25pm Wikipedia:

"Bored" is a single by American alternative rock band Deftones, released in 1996. It is taken from their début album, 1995's Adrenaline.
  3:34pm Steve:

The Deftones may have a cover, but damn it I remember first hearing it in the 70s from, if my brain can recall that far back, one of the legendary LA punk acts like the Bags, Alley Cats or something like that.
  3:34pm AZ:

The Paper Train? Terre T, you amaze me!
  3:36pm Wikipedia:

Hmm, thats a question more suited for Mike Sin, not Wikipedia.
  3:37pm Steve:

Found it! It was Destroy All Monsters, Also from Detroit. In 1981, I believe.
  3:41pm Craig:

Love me some Whooping Crane. They played a hot set last night at Otto's Shrunken Head.
  3:41pm Steve:

One last correction...it was 1978. The band also featured Ron Asheton (Stooges) and one of the guys from the MC5. I wish I still had that damn original single.
  3:48pm SueP:

@Steve: Niagra was in Destroy All Monsters, if you care to know.
  4:03pm steve:

Sue - Yep. She was. Makes sense when you put it all together. Damn...I'm feelin' old.
  4:04pm Mike Sin (WhoJustPulledOfftheGSPtoFindFreeWiFi):

Le Best Bespoke 4 is out in the US?! Where?! I've seen it offered from UK mailorder, but I didn't feel like throwing down ~$30 if it'll be around domestically sometime in May. Anyway, the tracklist looks to be another winner.

re: Paul Revere & Raiders' "Hungry" -- Terre played the cool unreleased (at the time) alternate version that's featured as a bonus track on the Sundazed reissue.
  4:09pm Don (trip dub):

Wondering if Chin Chin would be at 5th Ave. Fair Southpaw stage again this year. Or is it not the one from BK w/ Torbin.
  4:11pm SueP:

The Chin Chin played here is a band from Switzerland in the mid-80's.
  4:17pm Jack:

Sweet tunes! We are listening in our office in Melbourne, Australia while we do some stretches. Stretching is important.
  4:19pm Doctor B:

Good music for some last-minute spring cleaning (yes, I think this spring is almost clean, just a bit of rust at the bottom!).

Seriously, WFMU rocks!
  4:26pm Listener Jumpy:

"Darlin' You Can Count on Me' is my new fave!
  4:29pm Ron:

Hell yeah! The CBC is delivering the rock!! Can't wait for the Styrenes!!!
  4:30pm Don (trip dub):

I agree w/ whichever paper, either Daily News or AM that Budos s/b way more pop opular. Remember the Summerstage show. Thx for the play.
  4:37pm Skirkie:

Love this VU track. Love it.
  4:39pm OJ:

I love the sun!!
  4:39pm eyenoise:

I don't remember ever hearing The Velvets on your show before!
  4:48pm seang:

that electric mess link doesn't seem to work
  4:50pm derek:

seang, go to www.theelectricmess.com - thanks!
  4:52pm SueP:

Electric Mess link is repaired. Thx!!!
  4:56pm derek:

The Mess CD is now avail through Get hip Records...!
  4:59pm Mark from Pompton Plains:

'Arson Wells,' dang, why didn't I think of that!?
  5:01pm Mark from Pompton Plains:

Some press on Super Snipes - WFMU's Pseu Braun beams profusely: "The snottiest vocal style singing the most nihilistic lyrics."
  5:15pm Listener Jumpy:

"Toad" by Cream. This is a surprise.
  5:15pm Listener Jumpy:

I get it. Bathroom break.
  5:15pm Skirkie:

Wow, Cream? Hey alright.
  5:15pm Don (trip dub):

Shout out to Deano (the cop) in the 'Sheila' video up on youtube. I'm in an Indiana Jones hat. If you blink you'll miss me (1:30)
  5:17pm Frank:

Hey Jumpy, at least it's not the live version!
  5:20pm Ron:

Bathroom break my ass! This set is hard rocking. Terre T is going for the gold today - you keep rocking and don't let these three minute pansies tell you otherwise, Terre!
  5:22pm Frank:

Ha! I wasn't complaining Ron. Cream happens to be one of my favorite bands.
  5:32pm Skirkie:

Oh dang, this is LIVE live?
  5:33pm Listener Jumpy:

I'd like to hear Cream's "I Feel Free," "The Coffee Song," "Cats Squierrel" and "Anyone for Tennis."
All 3 minute songs, BTW.
  5:34pm SueP:

@Skirkie: "Live" as in they are on the other side of the glass from me right now!!!!
  5:37pm eyenoise:

Bunnies! Super cool that they are doing Electric Eels songs, too.
  5:43pm Don (trip dub):

Open note to They Might be Giants: Listen to these Styrenes and get back to your roots.
  5:48pm Steve:

Being born in Queens and raised in Shaker Hts/Rocky River (ask SueP), if you want a place that sucks, go down to South Florida. ClevO is heaven in comparison.
  5:55pm Skirkie:

Went fast today. There are no asses left to kick.
  5:58pm JT:

Styrenes Rule and so does Terre T!
  6:01pm Skirkie:

You tie up Rob Weisberg is what you do.
  6:01pm Listener Jumpy:

I'd like to hear Cream's "I Feel Free," "The Coffee Song," "Cats Squierrel" and "Anyone for Tennis."
All 3 minute songs, BTW.
  6:02pm Listener Jumpy:

Too low! What was that about John Sebastian?
  8:57am Carsick James:

The Styrenes: is there any truth in what they say?
  9:15am Crawford:

Teenage Queers vocalist sounds like Captain Beefheart :) Thanks for Bored , the Hitmen rule
