hey nat, good show. liking the off the deep end direction too. Do you have any crazy sun ra stuff that you are partial to? cheers :)
  3:06am
Nat:

Thanks, Emma. You know, I really haven't listened to a large amount of Sun Ra + his output is so huge that I don't feel like I have a grasp of it at all. Ya know? Never heard anything I didn't like by him, I'll put it that way.

emma:

fair enough :) there have been a couple of times where i've heard half of an album or something that totally blew me away, then... maybe i couldn't hear the dj and it becomes impossible to track down? one of the only negative things about such prolific artists... little gems lost in a turbulent sea of creativity. gag. sorry.
  3:19am
Nat:

There is just too much music period.

Who needs all this stuff?

Stop listening to WFMU now and throw out every CD you own except Ohio Express ones. That's all you need.

emma:

i'm about to do an intown move and the prospect of lugging around the 1200 vinyls or so.... ugh.... not fun.

KEEP THEM IN ALPHABETICAL ORDER except where they are setup by genre. gets a little crazy.... trying to stop music might end badly though. This yannis track is great... kind of glitch, pre-glitch :) i assume it's somewhat older

emma:

no wait. the asterix tells me it is new. assumption fail.
  3:29am
Nat:

Actually, it's brand new. Feels like there are quite a few people trying to mix electronics with trad. classical instruments these days. But it really could have been from any time in the last 30 odd years.

1200 vinyl records? Throw them out! Keep only Ohio Express! I'm telling you!

emma:

my desert island music list: only the ohio express discography, thank you very much.
