  12:35pm Nat:

Who was that great Prince rip-off? Lovin the glitchy stuff that's following, too.
  12:39pm Woody:

That's Bobby Nunn.... thrift shop score. He's on Motown from the 80s, so thinking more of a Rockwell rip-off :)
  1:13pm texas scott:

that Guitar trio was pure dee awesomeness!
  1:19pm Bruce:

Yo Evan!
  1:29pm oldtimer:

A version (not sure if it's the same one Woody played) of Rhys Chatham's Guitar Trio can also be found on Vol. 1 of the great old Tellus k7 series of avant / outside music and audio art. And all the Tellus k7s can be downloaded free in mp3 form from Ubuweb (the site run by WFMU's Kenny Goldsmith). To d/l Vol. 1 f'rinstance, which has the Chatham track & features many other downtown NYC artistes of yore, it's http://www.ubu.com/sound/tellus_1.html
  1:33pm Woody:

I think this recording was a live one from this particular space on Grand st. downtown....

I do love the Tellus comps. There's one on Just Intonation that has some particularly great stuff, including a similar guitar piece by James Tenney.
  1:50pm Mebob:

Hi there x The last few tracks ..Wow trippy!
  1:51pm Woody:

Thanks Mebob.... hope it all seems cohesive... not my smoothest set after a ummm long picnic yesterday :)
  1:57pm Mebob:

sounds just great! trippy in a good way :)
  2:12pm Rich Ladew:

Bitchin' show. Greetings from Chatham ,MA (Cape Cod!)
  2:17pm Woody:

Hi Rich-

Jealous as its a good day to be at Cape Cod!
  2:22pm Rich Ladew:

Hey Woody - Do you have a regular time slot? I heard you mention you were filling. WFMU is an inspiration to all us community broadcasters! (I am a dj at WMUA in UMASS amherst...)
  2:24pm trs:

Sunday late-nite, Monday early afternoon. After all this time, I still feel a little discombobulated hearing woody in another timeslot. Hears to you, Woody.
  2:28pm Woody:

Thanks for the props folks....I'm filling in for Liz today, who's doing Primavera stuff. There's more WFMU than I can ever listen to, but there's always the archives:
