king dean:

this is a long poem
  2:04am
Matt:

hail the king
  2:05am
Miss Leila:

The poem topic:

A poem that describes the moment in which a muppet no longer believes in jesus.

For example: Ernie watching Bert slip away at the hospital, etc
  2:05am
kind dean:

leila there already was a muppet jesus on the john denver and the muppets x-mas special http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20090113051139/muppet/images/thumb/c/c2/Jesuschrist.jpg/300px-Jesuschrist.jpg
  2:08am
Miss Leila:

Is Kind Den the brother of King Dean? I am slightly upset that the baby jesus puppet doesn't resemble a skeksis. Then again John Denver was involved, so I'm sure they had to clean up the original designs.
  2:14am
Miss Leila:

Oh good, a Jesus musical already exists:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8nu-KK6FfjA
AD/BC, a religious british rock opera that also involves a professional wrestler?!
  2:35am
Empress Leila:

Ugh, I'm sure no one will call in but sadly I've written my own poem to my own topic. What can I say, My Dying Bride did it!
  2:40am
Jonathan:

I've got one for the new prompt, I'm very proud of it and want it to be heard
  2:42am
Jonathan:

I am on hold, and I can wait, but only there is a limit to waiting
  2:48am
king dean:

leila this video is scarier than your rock opera http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9KP1auGdV40
  2:55am
Jonathan:

OK I have the right number now and phone's ringing but time is small and I am afraid i will not be able to recite this poem, it being by far my best work since '89. If I'm not able to recite the poem it will be destroyed, ripped up and burned, fit for nothing but these minutes and this show, at some loss to the continuing existence of human culture, I am confident.
  2:56am
Jonathan:

I just need about a minute
  2:56am
Jonathan:

Mine's the 281 number
  3:02am
Empress Leila:

I will share my poem that wouldn't count towards anything anyway.

The Divine Pork(ing)
A slab of bacon, strewn across the marble cutting board of flesh.
Jesus, you-
scornful of my ham and me.
Son of god, I did embrace a pig!
Dirty swine as your father has remarked,
Unclean, but in my eyes a disheveled purity remains.
Raspberry cheeked, and pillow bossomed,
Her fall from grace, while my loves embodied syrup still tingled inside her marbled flesh.
Your father, who is he to cut her curfew short?
Now she is cold, and into her head may silent dreams creep.
My heart had welcomed you, jesus but now no more.
To my swine a temple, while my emotions remain strung out like alms to the poor.

Is it about Kermit and Miss Piggy, of course. Is it about a frog losing hope because he loves a pig? Is it about a pig dying and a frog lamenting his lost lover? Or is it about a frog lamenting his lost pig love while still having relations with her. Who knows!
  3:17am
Vincent Grelligino:

OK, I am nothing if not a blade of straw who bends when the wind (radio) turns its face towards my strand, and stands up when it slackens. You know what I mean. This is my poem...I will still destroy it of course, but this representation will survive perhaps.

The Time Animal Said Goodbye To Faith
By Jack Yoret, AKA Animal Lover

For flowers with no scent
Visible in a wide arc
Much wider than the road;
The long turn spread them out,
Animal blinked and shifted
Again quickly, heavy tires gaining traction easily in
The sticky and shattered mud
  10:07pm
