Listener comments!

  6:14pm ?:

Yerkes Dance Records was run by Harry A. Yerkes, and he apparently used equipment purchased from John Fletcher's Olympic Record Co. Most Yerkes discs are from about 1924.
  9:23am ed:

Awesome show tonight Mac, enjoyed all the selections. Ed.
  10:33pm Rob R:

Mac, great show, loved the Caruso records. Rob
  4:27am Edwin H.:

What Do You Do Sunday Mary? The Avalonians Bell P259-A Disc 192?
Sounds like a very early electric! If so, that would be 1925. Record companies switched over to microphones in 1925 from doing horn acoustic recordings.
  4:34am Edwin H.:

Except for one exception was Edison! He was still doing acoustical up til late 1928! Finally switched over to electrical recordings in late 1928 and did some in October 1929 when the company went out of business!
