Sounds from the archive of the future, sonic drilling into the past, dissonant rumbling, lyrical melodies, noises (human, animal, mechanical, digital) inscrutable yet honest, desultory but consistent.

Good morning, David!

J-mar, good to see ya, too!
  10:18am
Cecile:

I need about 17 more lifetimes to hear all the music I need to.
  10:18am
David:

  10:22am
Trystero:

  10:25am

coelacanth:

  10:34am
Wendy del Formaggio:

Thank you, Cecile! I will look it up.
  10:35am
Cecile:

it's got the most amazing vegetal taste. We used up the last in an herb and Cubanelle papper omelet at dinner last night. Amazing.
  10:52am
Mike East:

What kind of herb?
  10:52am
Cecile:

garlic chitves, oregano and Italian parsley. Got em from my puny little garden.
  10:53am
Cecile:

chives
  10:55am
Mike East:

ah, nice. All I've been able to grow are basil, parsley, and dill - the cilantro died, sadly, in the heatwave a few weeks back. Chives are a good idea, though. Maybe next year.
  11:00am
Cecile:

chives will come back forever
I was able to keep my parsley, and cilantro when I was growing it, going by planting it in shade. It's not as hardy as people seem to think.
  11:01am
Cecile:

And the bugs ate my basil. I stripped off the leaves except for some shoots. I will have to hit it every day with my hot sauce spray.
  11:05am
doug from hell:

No gardening for me this year, it's been too hot. And now our hundred degree weekend has begun.
  11:05am
Mike East:

Basil's going strong. Didn't get as big as it should have because I made the mistake of not spacing it far enough apart, but the flavor and aroma are there.
  11:07am
Cecile:

mine would have been huge, except that the bugs had themselves a feast.
  11:13am
Mike East:

Can't say I blame them.
  11:22am
Cecile:

I suppose...
  11:23am
coelacanth:

my cilantro in part shade bolted long ago, with a few other things.some that's beneath some blackberries-mostly shade-is tiny, but bushy & fine.
  11:35am
coelacanth:

yes, this is what i need to finish pounding my rock into powder...2 hammers at once!
  11:58am
coelacanth:

Thank,David.Great show... by the way,i'm almost done pounding my rock into fine powder.Who am i supposed to send this to?the FCC? Obama?Jerry Lee Lewis?
  12:03pm
David:

Well, Coel., who are your friends? I recommend Jerry Lee Lewis or Jerry Lewis. Obama gets a lot of mail already and is fairly busy. The FCC doesn't care anymore. They are fair-weathered friends.
  12:08pm
perrin:

  12:10pm
David:

Patience, patience. Shouldn't be too long now.
  12:11pm
