  1:16pm
lance:

Hey, I'm late to the beer-talk party I know. But new management at the supermarket near me is shuttling their premium ales and lagers in lieu of a bud/corona/heiniken format, which is bittersweet because they are liquidating their somewhat wide selection of suds. Over the weekend I bought six four-packs of Sam Smith's for six and change a piece! Just wanted to chime in!
  1:22pm
BSI:

Holy Crap (part 2)! Just getting here & clearly missed all beer references. Lance, that's a hell of a deal. Nut Brown Ale, Oatmeal Stout, etc? It's all good, but suddenly wicked thirsty.
  1:25pm
Mike East:

The deli down the block from my work used to deliver Samuel Smiths to us. We would buy them out every week. Sadly, they no longer carry any beer using the excuse that it was too expensive and they couldn't make a profit. These are hard times we live in.
  1:34pm
BSI:

as for favorites, i dunno if this counts, but whatever the house bitter was in the cellar bar at the Cheshire Cheese on Fleet Street/London (recent vacation) -- probably a Sam Smiths bitter that isn't packaged for export (dammit!)

And maybe it was a set-and-setting thing more than the beer itself, but good lord it was tasty.
  1:39pm
lance:

Loving these tracks! Yeah the supermarket only had the green and red bottles - the Organically Produced Lager and I forgot what the red one was - and I bought three of each. Really attractive bottles! Even empty!
  1:40pm
Chris from DC:

Great set.
  1:43pm
Lucas:

Hola Liz. The app its really cool. No having problems yet.
  1:51pm

  2:12pm
Torbjørn:

Just wanted to say that the stream has been working with no problems for a while. However, just as I was to start typing this comment, some choppy behavior again emerged. Still enjoying the music, though.
Thank you, Ms. Berg.
  2:15pm
Looms:

The stream already failed twice here in western France. Thanks for the show anyway.
  2:16pm
doron:

hey stream problem people: are you listening to the 128k mp3 stream?
  2:17pm
Looms:

Yes
  2:21pm
doron:

things seem ok on this end. can you try listening with our flash player on the home page? It's 64k and might do better for you....
  2:22pm
Torbjørn:

@doron: hope so. I'm listening to the stream that comes out of http://mp3stream.wfmu.org. Easy to remember URLs are great.
I'll give the various streams a listen, and see if any of them work better.
  2:24pm
BSI:

for what it's worth, the 128 stream outta iTunes = no problems here.
  2:25pm
Looms:

@doron: i had another 128k failure a few seconds after my last comment. I'm listening on the 64k stream by now and experienced 3 micro failures, but didn't lose the stream.
  2:26pm
Ike:

32k AAC+ stream and 128k MP3 stream are both working fine for me. Maybe the intertubes that run underneath the Atlantic were nibbled on by them eyeless fish that live down in the deep trenches? Anyway, great show; love the Budos.
  2:27pm
Looms:

Yeah, i think you're right, Ike.
  2:28pm
Torbjørn:

All streams seem to be fine now for me as well.
128k has been flawless for 5+ minutes.
  2:30pm
BSI:

Them fish don't need no eyes!
Where's that goddamned BEER?!?!
  2:31pm
Looms:

Damned fishes!

  2:56pm
