  12:02pm annie:

  12:02pm Derk:

  12:02pm Mike East:

dig that slap bass
  12:10pm Mark from Pompton Plains:

Ahh, Winona Ryder, you were so cute.
  12:11pm Carmichael:

Hiya Tamar.
  12:11pm annie:

i was just thinking that..
  12:13pm Mark from Pompton Plains:

To those who watched that flick twenty times, it's an iconic ending, symbolic and relevant to the times. To everyone else, well....not so much.
  12:13pm Mark from Pompton Plains:

Maybe, i can't speak for them.
  12:14pm Parq:

What a nifty first set! Megan did an 80s set this AM, and someone asked for Bow Wowx2, so thanks for that.
  12:14pm Mike East:

Having seen it twenty times, I will agree
  12:15pm Tamar:

Hi peoples!
  12:16pm annie:

i loved that movie... those were great years to raise a kid..... my son had some of the best entertainment..we were just talking about "parenthood" yesterday..
  12:16pm Mark from Pompton Plains:

I was just twittering when she said that!
  12:17pm Mark from Pompton Plains:

I bet, except for how I used to yell "Nice Fucking model!" and get a little nasty look from the neighbors
12:17pm Nothing to read here, everyone move along:

Are we out of trouble yet?
Oh... today is trouble-free?
Never mind.
  12:17pm Marshall Stacks:

Ida Morgenstern!
  12:18pm puzzled:

Ok, what movie are you talking about?
  12:18pm annie:

i never knew nancy walker sang....
  12:18pm Mark from Pompton Plains:

Beetle Breakfast? Beetle Drink?
  12:19pm Mark from Pompton Plains:

Beetlejuice, featuring the inimitable Sir Michael Keaton.
  12:20pm Mark from Pompton Plains:

it turned me on to Zagnut bars
  12:20pm Mike East:

was just watching him in Jackie Brown last night
  12:20pm Carmichael:

I thought you might be talking about Beetlejuice, but how you made the connection with this playlist is beyond me. Unless Tamar played the Banana Boat Song.
  12:20pm no longer puzzled:

Ah, ok, thank you.
  12:21pm annie:

we're not allowed to say the name, puzzled, lest we invoke his presence
  12:22pm Mark from Pompton Plains:

Carmichael, 'twas Lord Flea and His Calypsonians, from the twice-brilliant gravitation sequence at the end of the flick. I just remmber Ryder's headbanging.
Bye the weigh, Tamar, GREAT SHOW!
  12:24pm Mark from Pompton Plains:

Oh no, where are the tissues?
  12:24pm Parq:

Speaking of Nancy Walker singing: http://tinyurl.com/nanhatesmen
check it out!
  12:28pm Mark from Pompton Plains:

God what a sick voice
  12:30pm Mark from Pompton Plains:

He does a Jorge Benjor cover on this album and a kraftwerk cover
  12:35pm chris:

What a show, what a show! Thanks, Tamar.
  12:53pm pseu:

sweetness! great stuff.
  1:00pm still b/p:

More cinema-trivia-connectification: A version of Vieni, Vieni is playing in Martini's bar in It's a Wonderful Life.
  1:01pm Mike East:

furthermore, a version of sh-boom is in Clue, the movie. This song always remind me of that.
  1:02pm still b/p:

..and villain Ben Gazzara sings Life Can Be A Dream while driving with swerving cockiness in his convertible in Road House.
  1:04pm Scungili:

Ayyyy Paisano! Or should I say Paisana? Nice work!
  1:06pm Carmichael:

I wish I could hear that guy from the Dick Van Dyke show sing about The Twizzle.
  1:10pm still b/p:

Tamar took a nice li'l Magical Twistery Tour.
  1:11pm still b/p:

..or Geographical, more like.
  1:21pm annie:

-cello.... not the instrument..
  1:22pm Boo:

They say Monti-sello upstate. Chez Thos. Jefferson it's Monti-cello (like the instrument).
  1:25pm Tamar:

Yes, I thought it was "sello" upstate and "cello" on Jefferson's estate.
  1:25pm annie:

my back yard.... hope i can make it this year...
  1:34pm Looms:

Cheer-up show, Tamar, thanks!
  1:35pm annie:

i just looked at the clock..... wow... another hour and a half!!
  1:49pm apropos of nothing:

  1:53pm Looms:

L'amour, toujours... I think i'm gonna marry Petty Booka.

  2:19pm stinky:

  2:31pm Looms:

Les Ook-Piks is to be pronunced "lazookpiks"
  2:38pm mikael DA SVEZIA:

This is the first time I listen to Tamaras show. Tamara rocks. This is the best show I've heard so far on WFMU - if I exclude Daniel Johnstons legendary set back in 1990(?). Now I only hope that Sweden could have something like WFMU...
  2:38pm Tamar:

That's what I though, but then, of course, you can't tell that it starts with "ook," which is not a usual word. That's French for you!
  2:44pm Looms:

Yeah, i heard you quite managed to say it right! So easy for me of course, but you know, i'm sometimes so ashamed of my broken english... Consider it as a friendly revenge, ;)
  2:49pm Looms:

  2:56pm Parq:

A truly great show. Thanks for the smiles.
  2:59pm mikael DA SVEZIA:

(It's "Tamar", of course - sorry!@#")
  2:59pm annie:

tamar... it's been a fabulous show..... thank you!!
  3:06pm JM:

Cheers heard near Bastille...
